1490 Lace-Up Boot

Really wanted these and was super happy once I received them. I've had them for a few months now and I'm glad I bought them. Would have rated 5 stars but the tongue keeps sliding to the side on both shoes which is super annoying.

I have a difficult time with dr. Martens. Over the years, the styles, the fits, the sizing, the leathers....these have 10 eyelets instead of the typical 8 of the 1460s. The leather is very pliable and unless the boot is too small, I can’t believe these would need much breaking in. That being said, I ordered my typical 7 in Docs and these are big. Very frustrating, I have reordered a 6 and am waiting. These also sit about an inch higher on the ankle. A bit wider as well.

These are so trendy. I am 46 and patent leather gives it a little more classy look for my age. I get many compliments when I wear them by ladies my age and college girls. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 in boots but I wore the 4UKW which is equivalent to a size 6, it fits great!

I prefer these over the normal 1460s since shaft is taller. I do own a pair of the 1460s also. I’m about 5’7. The Virginia leather feels much more comfortable. I’m a true 7.5 ordered a 7 and they fit perfectly. I only wish that they had a zipper on the side instead of having to loose. The laces.

These are beyond perfect and I loved them and really gave them a chance but there is a seam that goes across your foot and it does not stretch! It left a dent on my foot after just 5mins of trying it on. I tried different times of the day thinking it was me but after seeing other reviews, others have the same problem. If they can fix that then I’m getting the updated version.
