What it is: An FDA-cleared, LED red light and blue light device that helps smooth wrinkles and zap bacteria in just three minutes of hand-free use.

What it does: Inspired by Dr. Gross's professional in-office lasers, this medical-grade mask harnesses a full spectrum of therapeutic red and blue light. The patented design includes a combination of 100 LED lights in red mode and 62 LED lights in blue mode working together to smooth wrinkles, firm skin, diminish discoloration and clear acne for a beautiful, youthful complexion. You can choose from three-light treatment options—red light therapy, blue light therapy or red and blue light therapy. The red lights stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin to reduce wrinkles, sun spots, sun damage and redness; blue lights help destroy P. acnes bacteria and prevent future breakouts; and the dual red and blue lights target wrinkles and acne at the same time. Experience a fading of wrinkles in as early as two weeks and begin seeing an improvement in acne within days.

How to use: After cleansing, place device comfortably over the face, securing the strap around your head. Press and hold the power button for two seconds to turn on the device. Select light setting (red, blue, red + blue) and use for the programmed treatment time of three minutes. The device will automatically turn off after the treatment is complete. Remove the device and follow with an Alpha Beta® Daily Peel, serum and moisturizer of your choice.

Worth every penny
This mask is a miracle worker. I have struggled with hormonal cystic acne for the past couple years. I’m 42 and couldn’t believe I was still having skin problems. I tried EVERYTHING. I use the mask once a week and I rarely get a single spot. If I feel a cyst brewing, I do the mask nightly for 6min (blue light) for a few nights and they never surface - completely disappear. It was very hard for me to talk myself into spending this much money, but it was worth every penny.

Heavy and sticks to face
I always research what I'm going to buy - especially a beauty item that costs a few bucks.....most of the reviews on different websites are positive - so I thought I'd buy this. I am familiar with led light therapy for the face as I had the LightStim for years that works very well although it is handheld which takes more time. So I have been on the lookout for a led face mask preferably with red and blue lights and this was it. You really don't know until you get the item in your hands what it's really like - the picture to me, seemed like a lightweight mask. No it is not - this Spectralite mask sticks to your face with a silicone like film which the lights are inside of, doesn’t “fit” right (one size does not fit all in this case), it feels heavy, and the straps that come with it don’t really hold it up so you have to stand there holding the mask to your face. I knew the first time I used it that it would not be something I would like to do every night. I will say that if this mask were lightweight and didn't have that "filmy type silicone" that sticks to you face - I would have kept it.

Great concept, but this brand has a problem.
I purchased this LED mask and loved it for about three (3) weeks, until it stopped charging. I was going to exchange for the same product, but after reading more reviews, I realized my problem was not so random, it appears that it is a problem with many of these units. I did not exchange. Instead, I purchased a different brand and I am very happy with it. Does the product work? Absolutely. Is this particular brand reliable? No.

I suffered from adult cystic acne during pregnancy that continued until over 6 months after I finished breast feeding. I bought endless products, went to the Derm, had facials (aka spent a lot of money) and didn’t have results. One day I was complaining at Nordstrom about this and I was recommended this mask. I was very skeptical but it is worth every penny! I had amazing results and have been able to use with this pregnancy as well (ask your doc) and have not suffered from the acne. I love that it can target wrinkles too! The only thing that could use improvement is the strap. I’ve had this for almost a year and am simply thrilled with the results! You won’t regret this purchase

Not for those with migraine
I have no idea if this works but it triggers the mothers of all migraines. Migraineurs and epileptics be aware. Beauty may be pain but it's not this much pain.

DPL IIa Full Face Red and Blue Light Therapy
All Dr Gross has done is repackage technology in fancy packaging that has been around for years. You can buy it at any online website and it covers your entire face. The one by Dr Gross does not stay on the face long enough, the strap is inadequate and the treatment area does not appear large enough. The other has much larger treatment area and can be moved to treat the neck, as well as other areas, eliminating the need to buy additional expensive equipment. Return!
