What it is: A hair touch-up kit that permanently keeps your grey roots in check between your full hair color application.

Who it's for: All hair types.

What it does: The low ammonia, salon-quality crème hair color is designed to blend seamlessly into your base hair color. Though not intended for drastic color changes or to lighten hair, it's ideal for those looking to cover roots. This kit includes everything you need to refresh your roots twice.

Kit includes:

- Permanent Hair Color Crème (1 oz.)

- Developer (2 at 0.5 oz. each)

- 2 Mixing Bowls

- 2-pair Disposable Hair Color Gloves

- 2 Disposable Processing Caps

- Hair Color Application Brush

- Sample Color Fresh Shampoo

- Sample Color Fresh Conditioner

How to use: Put on your gloves then squeeze 1/2 of the hair color into the bowl. Tightly close the hair color to save for next use. Add one packet of developer into the bowl and mix thoroughly using the applicator brush. Apply the mixture to your noticeable grey areas, which are usually the hairline and part line. Apply the product generously. Use the tip end of the applicator brush to part your hair into 1/4- to 1/2-inch sections and continue to apply until the desired areas are completely saturated. Put the cap on and set your timer for 45 minutes. For resistant grey hair, keep on for an additional 5–15 minutes. Using lukewarm water, rinse out color until the water runs clear. Follow with shampoo and conditioner.

My hair was looking, shall we say, “unkempt” color-wise. I fancied myself playing the part of the lead character in the country music song “I like trashy women.” I couldn’t pull it off. I had to do something, even though I was still holed up at home. I found this hair touch up kit at Nordstrom’s, by chance. My husband agreed to play hairdresser. I think he may have liked the role a little too much. My color was medium blond, and it actually was the color on the box. It covered grey (make sure you leave on for the full time.) There are 2 applications with everything included, a real deal compared to salon prices. My husband is kicking around the idea of a career change.

Great. Dark brunette hair with rust colored roots
Hard pass on this product for the following reasons: 1. Not enough product to cover roots. 2. As a brunette with gray roots, I did not appreciate my roots turning a rust color vs. a dark brown color. Yes, I followed all directions and left the color on longer than 45 min per the instructions for gray root coverage. I will not purchase this product again and will toss the second kit as there simply is no point in using something that doesn't work. I got better results with an under $10 dollar root touch-up kit at the drug store.

Not what expected
I was so excited about this product after I read the reviews, but unfortunately it did not work for me. It did not cover my grays at all. I even used the whole product. ( This is after 4 days ) my hair look like I have highlights (bad ones). So I am very disappointed. I bought the dark brown because my hair is almost black. I like the presentation of the product but is not what I thought it was...I would never buy it again.

Covers Grays Beautifully!
Seriously, this is my new touch-up product for my grays! I'm usually in the salon twice a month to touch up over an inch of gray growth. I wasn't sure whether to go with dark or medium brown because I'm in the middle. I ended using medium brown after reading multiple posts that recommended going lighter (rather than darker) when touching up grey roots. This product is easy to use and the kit comes with everything you need for two applications. However, if you have long hair the packets of shampoo and condition will only last one application. The medium brown was perfect! Covered all my grays and left my hair shiny and soft ..... like I'd been to the salon! I left the product on an extra 15min above the recommended 45min because of my "stubborn grays"! Already purchased my another kit!

getting through these times....
So I have never colored my own hair but obviously, during these difficult times, I had to do something about my gray roots!! So I got this in the medium blonde. Great color match and it turned out wonderfully! Professional kit, with good gloves and brush. The only thing: if you have thick hair, like I do, use the whole amount, not half. It’s wonderful you get enough for two applications, if you have less hair than I do. Anyway, get this stuff. It will give you a nice pick me up!

did not cover grays
I purchased the dark brown. I left the color on my grey roots for over an hour and it didn’t cover my hair much. Now I’m left with a brassy halo that I will have to go fix. I was excited to try this color from this brand but unfortunately it was a waste of both my time and my money.
