Wallis Platform Wedge Loafer (Women)

I really wanted to love these platform loafers. I even wrote a great review when I first received them. The weather was still too hot when I received them, so I just started to try them out. However, while wearing them around my house, my heel kept slipping in the back and the toe area is very narrow. I even tried to size up for the toe area just to compare. I don’t understand why they make this style with such narrow toe areas. My foot width is average. I also wear a size 8, which is what I purchased, but I could tell they would keep stretching in the back area if I wore them longer. They were actually not even comfortable wearing them around my house. I’m so sad because they are the perfect style that I like. I don’t care for the penny loafers that are preppy looking.

I have worn a size 6 my whole life but when I buy Pliners I have to size down a half size. This time I will need a size 5 b/c the 5 1/2 are now too big and slipping off my foot like the other reviewers mentioned. No size 5 available so I will unfortunately have to return. They are a beautiful shoe. Keeping my fingers crossed that more size 5's become available.

The perfect platform loafers that you can dress up or wear casual. I’m not a big fan of penny loafers as they are a little too preppy looking for my taste. These actually remind me of my suede hush puppies loafers that I used to wear years ago, These are better because they have a a modern edge to them with the corded stitching around them. I have yet to wear them out, I’m just wearing them around the house for now to make sure they’re comfortable. The only thing I might need to do is stretch the toe box area. For some reason so many of this style has such narrow toe areas. my usual size 8 fits perfect.
