Fragrance story: Inspired by a memory from the holy forests of Indochina, and the velvety, milky scent of sandalwood burned in temples. Yves Coueslant, one of Diptyque's founders, has never forgotten this fragrance from his childhood illustrated by sandalwood from Mysore cooled by vibrant cypress and myrtle. Diptyque draws its inspiration from the history of perfume by reinventing the textures of scent to offer a new approach to personal scenting, deemed Fragrance Gestures. It is a way to make the invisible sensual, and the ethereal tangible.
