Details & care
What it is: A limited-edition hand and body gel featuring the floral scent inspired by the childhood memories of Yves Coueslant.
Fragrance story: Fragranced with a tuberose scent that brings to mind the sunset hour, when the white flowers stand out against the darkness of the wooden pagoda. Upon contact with water, the gel becomes an incredibly light and silky cleansing foam. Enriched with shea butter, it both perfumes and softens the skin. The floral notes of Do Son will fill your entire bathroom, like an invitation on a journey. Diptyque draws its inspiration from the history of perfume by reinventing the textures of scent to offer a new approach to personal scenting, deemed Fragrance Gestures. It is a way to make the invisible sensual, and the ethereal tangible. This fragrance was inspired by Yves Coueslant, one of the founders of diptyque, who as a child spent his summers at the seaside pagoda that his father had built in Do Son, close to Ha Long Bay. Far from the humid heat of the large port in Haiphong, the air was cooler there. The sea breeze carried with it the heady and slightly spicy scent of tuberoses that his mother loved so much. Do Son has both the delicateness and the persistence of a memory from a childhood in Indochina. At the Haiphong market, tuberoses are wrapped together with jasmine and ylang-ylang in large canna leaves to be used as offerings.
Style: Floral.
Notes: Tuberose, orange blossom, jasmine, marine accord.
