Vernis Gel Shine & Long Wear Nail Lacquer

Dior Vernis Gel Shine and Long Wear Nail Lacquer gel-effect nail polishes are great. I have never tried gel before. It was my first time trying these nail polishes and my nails are real, I was concerned if the gel may ruin my nails and they didn't. And the nail lacquer easily removes off with nail polish remover. I am using ALL Dior products. The lipsticks in these photos is Dior Couture Color - Rouge Dior' Lipstick. In the first photo I am wearing for the nails MASSAI and the lipsticks to match on the left is ROUGE ZINNIA and on the right is AMBITIOUS MATTE. The second photo on the left for the nails NUIT and the lipstick is POISON MATTE and on the right for the nails is COSMOPOLITE and the lipstick is CLASSIC MATTE. The third photo for the nails and lips is 999. The last photo for the nails I am wearing METAL MONTAIGNE and the eyes to match is Dior 5 Couleurs Couture' Eyeshadow Palette in PIED De POULE. I was very pleased with the nail polishes they do have a bit of a smell. For me all colors lasted for 4 days before they started to chip a bit. All photos were done in natural light, and I hope this helps to choose a color.

I am a self-proclaimed nail polish junkie. I was purchasing some Dior cosmetics when one of the polishes caught my eye. I haven't had a Dior polish in a while but I love the color so much, I decided to give it a try. The sales associate suggested that I purchase the gel topcoat in addition to the color. After polishing my nails myself, I was an immediate fan, but after wearing the polish for several days, I became a Dior addict. First of all, the brush shape and length make it very easy to polish your own nails and get professional looking results. Second, the formula goes on smoothly and fills any ridges in the nail and gives the perfect gel manicure look. Lastly, I am a lady who works with her hands and constantly have my hands in water-I am a perfect test driver for nail products, this polish and gel topcoat really has staying power. My polish job lasted a whole week without touch-ups which us a record for me (outlasted any professional polish jobs I had in the past). When you are ready to remove your polish it doesn't take ridiculous measures to remove like a gel manicure, which is another added bonus! The colors are gorgeous and you won't be disappointed. My long wear tips: use an alcohol pad on the natural nail to dry and prepare for base coat. When nails are completely dry, apply base coat and allow to dry for at least 2 minutes before applying color. Apply coat one of color, allow to dry for 2 minutes. Repeat with a second coat and finish with the gel topcoat. Voila!

I thought I loved Dior's older brush, but this new brush is even better! I got Tra-La-La and the color is beautiful: a quintessential sheer nude pink or French manicure color. The only thing I didn't like was that it was streaky with a thin coat. But it did avoid streaks when I applied it as one thick coat, and the thick coat dried fast and looked like the color I wanted, so I'm still very happy with it. I can't comment on how long it wears because I got the urge to change it before it chipped - after 3 days or so, my nails have grown, and I get the urge to change polish to fix that gap, even if it's not chipping yet.

Cosmic is definitely not as shimmery in person as it looks in nordstrom's bottle photo (which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 5...I was hoping it would match). It actually looks like a creme on my nails, unless the light hits it just right and then I see a tiny bit of shimmer. Still, it's a nice bright coral color and I'll enjoy wearing it. I like the formula and it lasts well on my nails.

First, I love Dior polishes. Yes, they cost a lot more than the drugstore brands. But they glide on easily, last a long time, and the brush makes doing my own nails quite easy. Also, the quality products have actually improved the texture and strength of my nails. This lacquer in the color Muguet is like a quick french manicure in a bottle. One coat of Dior base coat and 2 coats of this and I am good to go for about 10 days. I feel as though I have searched for years and finally found my perfect, every day color. I don't even look at cheap polishes anymore. Nothing else has ever been as consistently good and simple to apply as this.

I tried 108, 155,121, 239, and 257 in the store and found that 108 is not as pink as shown, 155 looks very very pink in the bottle but is actually quite neutral and lovely on my hands, and 121 ,239 and 257 are almost completely opaque on my hands and much darker in the bottle than shown on the website. 239 and 257 are not flattering at all on light skin. 108 however is really very good pearlescent light pink with enough pigment to cover but leave the light tip of nail visible. With base and top coat, 108 stayed all week and looked great .
