Prestige Rose Cleansing Oil-Balm

I am obsessed with cleansing balms. Like, it’s actually a problem. I’ve tried almost every one on the market: Banila Co., Heimish, Clinique, Emma Hardie, de Mamiel, Farmacy, Sunday Riley, Errborian, Elemis, and Omorovicza. Why, you ask? Because I am a skincare junkie that’s never satiated and, more importantly, I want to make the most tedious task of my evening more enjoyable. When I saw this launch I immediately ordered this cleansing balm, not having a single review anywhere online to guide me. I love the smell of roses, and this teeters between a light, green rose smell and that sweet, synthetic rose smell that I associate with childhood. The packaging is hefty, and beautiful. It comes with a large golden-handled rubber spatula and a random tiny white pleather pouch to keep your spatula in? I tossed it, but kept the spatula. I wasn’t prepared for the texture of this balm. The consistency of this is like a light pink jelly. It’s what aloe vera gel feels like, but smoother and creamier? It’s so lightweight, I can’t help but dollop probably twice the amount a normal person should use in my palm every night. I have oily, acne-prone skin and a condition called folliculitis. I can be sensitive to certain harsh products, and I’m 29. I have had no issues with this balm. I also love a full-coverage beat. I plop some into my hands and massage onto my caked-up face. It feels like one of those watery gel-creams like the Water Cream by Tatcha/Tidal by Sunday Riley. To me, it doesn’t feel oily or thick like most cleansing balms at all, just very slippery. While I’ve used muslin cloths or wash cloths to remove balm cleansers in the past, I follow the directions for this and just rinse off and pat dry. It doesn’t burn my eyes and removes all traces of makeup. I use white towels, and there is NOTHING left on my face. It leaves my skin plump and moisturized. I’ve since purchased the Micellar cleanser from this line and follow up with that. I now look forward to my evening routine!

This is an expensive balm, but it worth it! Le Baume feels oily from the jar, but it cleanses the face with no difficulty. It keeps the skin soft and supple while cleaning all of the makeup from your face. I use it twice a day, simply because I like to feel fresh. I also use the other products in the line and feel the combination has improved the texture of my skin, the brightness of my skin, and simply made me feel more confident when I walk out the door. I have purchased two of these and will continue to do so.

I encountered this product during the opening day of Sono. It was introduced to me by Michele who was the sales rep that time. My skin is very sensitive and I am very careful in buying expensive skin care that don't work. I got impressed with the light texture and not too oily outcome. I bought this along with 2 samples. On the 3rd day, I noticed the rashes,itchiness and redness had started to resolve. I bought then the serum and moisturizer and now added the prestige white toner. So far I am happy with the changes on my face for using it for 1 1/2 weeks.
