Great Brush
I purchased this brush with the Dior Air Flash foundation. When used with this brush it gives more coverage than if you just spray it on. It is densely packed but very soft. It doesn't shed either, which is great.

Pretty to look at, hard on skin
I REALLY wanted to love this brush. It is beautiful to look at, and I was excited to it as it was smaller that what I previously have used for foundation. When I was in the store, I did notice several of the makeup artists were using this brush and the bristles were clumped and matted. I used it the next morning for the first time and was so disappointed. The bristles, though they feel soft to your finger, are actually quite abrasive on your face. My skin is not particularly sensitive, but it was raw feeling and very red after applying my foundation - definitely not the look I am going for (fyi - I was using Dior's Nude Skin, which melts into your skin and does not require much brush work). I think because the bristles are so short and compact, that there is just not much "give" in them, which caused the irritation to my skin. I will be taking this back as it will just not work for me. I will continue to use my Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush - which is also used for buffing in foundation but has longer bristles and a more rounded shape.

Expected More
This was my first Dior brush. I purchased this brush maybe 4 months ago. I LOVED it for about 2 weeks. After 2 weeks of use (in-between washes) I found that the brush would absorb my foundation and to this day, no matter how many washes, soaks, or different make up brush cleansing tonics, will not release the trapped makeup! This brush is a bacteria infestation! It has caused a breakout galore on my face. I've finally given up. I've decided to order a bigger brush with a smaller price tag and even more positive reviews emphasizing on the fact that it will not absorb product.

Prefer Dior LIGHT COVERAGE Foundation Brush
I love my Dior Light Coverage Foundation Brush, it is the absolute best on the market. I heard a lot about this brush, so I splurged. I find I don't like to use it to apply foundation all over my face - I still use the other Dior foundation brush to begin foundation application. I do use this brush afterwards to apply foundation to the nose, mouth and chin areas. I apply foundation to my hand then dab this brush into the foundation. The brush is soft and easily gets into crevices to smooth out foundation (nose, chin). It is a small brush and seems to work best that way. It cleans easily, does not shed. I don't feel it sucks up foundation at all. The use of both brushes does make for a beautiful flawless foundation application. I use Lancome Tient Miracle liquid foundation. Overall, if I could only use one foundation brush - I would not use this. A blending sponge works just as well to blend out nose and chin areas. I'm keeping it but it was a splurge purchase.
