Dirty patchouli coffee bomb
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this free product from Influenster and Dolce & Gabbana in exchange for my honest review.
My fiance uses the women's version of Dolce & Gabbana Devotion and it smells lovely on her so I was looking forward to trying this version for men. Unfortunately for me they took the women's formula and did a complete 180 with it adding a heavy dose of coffee and patchouli which takes away from the sweet lemon that the women's version offers. The coffee is big and in your face right off the first spray but unfortunately the patchouli dirties it to the point where I can't tolerate it. I get vibes of Angel Men Pure Coffee, but unlike Pure Coffee, Devotion does not offer enough sweetness to cover up the dirtiness of the patchouli. In the end it's just a coffee bean smothered in patchouli with no hints of lemon that lasts for 5 to 6 unimpressive hours. I'm usually able to say that a fragrance was at least decent but this is a hard pass for me.

Decent cologne

D&G does it again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from a very versatile House, Dolce & Gabbana has always been known for a wide array of very high quality fragrances — and Devotion is no different! It starts off very clean and citrusy (I got notes of lemon, but almost leaned sweet) After about a half hour or so, it started to hit pleasant middle notes that were warm and slightly bitter to help round out the citrus top notes (I got coffee, but there almost also seemed to be some woodsy notes of cedar.) Then a little later we hit the patchouli but not like “hippy” patchouli, it was much more pleasant and helped tied the whole fragrance together. Needless to say, I am looking forward to adding this one to my summer lineup this year and continue to feel impressed by what D&G can do!

Descent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Def not a safe blind buy but I really enjoyed it. The performance was so so but the scent was nice specially the coffee! I wonder how this would wear in the summer.
