What it is: A gentle and beneficial eye makeup remover that will cleanse and protect lashes.

Who it's for: Ideal for all skin types.

What it does: The remover features a two-phase formula: a water phase enriched with rosewater and cornflower water, which are known for their soothing properties, and a highly purified oil phase that removes makeup without leaving behind a greasy residue.

How to use: Shake the bottle well before use so that the two phases blend into a homogenous, exceptionally benefiial solution. Sweep a cotton pad moistened with the remover and sweep over eyelids to remove makeup. Repeat on lashes, from root to tip. If necessary, leave the moistened cotton pad on the lashes for a few seconds. It can also be used to remove lip makeup

Nice feeling, gentle, effective

I have a lot of problems with products meant for my eyes. I had a bottle of a duo-phase by another brand from Nordstrom- that was very high end. It wasn’t bad but was old so I wanted to replace it. I bought one from Dior (I adore this line) that was something called Micellar (lots of brands introduced these types of gentle cleansers). I don’t wear face makeup so only needed for eye makeup. The one I purchased didn’t seem to get the waterproof liner I was wearing. So, I went back to this one, which is a simple, but effective formulation and it suits my needs at a decent price. Thanks Chanel!

NOT THE SAME!

I don’t know what happened but yuck! This used to be magic; now a greasy mess, you won’t see clearly for hours!

Changed formula doesn’t work well

Chanel has obviously changed the formula of this eye makeup remover. It used to work so well. It no longer does.

new formula not as good

I’ve been using this for eye make up removal for a long time and they recently updated the formula. It’s harder to shake up to mix the two ingredients and it doesn’t do as good of job taking off mascara. I usually need to use two cotton pads instead of one. Miss the old stuff!

New Formula Not Good

Chanel has changed the formula and it does not work well to remove the non-waterproof Chanel mascara. This new formulation causes my eyes to itch post use, and I will be returning the product.

Eye Makeup Remover or Car Oil

I've been buying this item for years and have loved it, however this last purchase, which I've used three times, is either defective or a completely different formula. First I noticed the smell which is distinctly like a petroleum product. Then, the oily consistency which is entirely different this time. I put it on a cotton pad and the skin around my eyes looked as if I spread cooking oil all over them. So much oil from the drop on the cotton pad that I had trouble keeping the lid from sliding out of my hands when I went to replace it. Here I sit, fifteen minutes later and my face burns and this is after I used kleenex to remove all the excess oil. So unhappy about this bottle that I am going to have to take it back to the Nordstrom Chanel counter where I purchased it and show it to the saleswomen to see if this is a new formula. If it is, I will never purchase it again. If it is a "fluke" bottle, I will replace it. I found that using a gentle skin cleanser on a cotton pad is just as effective at removing the Chanel makeup, and in my old age, that is what I'm going to use. So sad to have to complain about a Chanel product when I've have had no problems with any of them for at least 40 some years. I am 82 and people are shocked to find out I'm this old.
