Renaissance Full Pavé Ring in 18K Gold

This ring js beautiful but I didn’t immediately feel that way when unboxing it due to the way it was packaged (in a plastic baggie in a plain silver box?). I wasn’t impressed that it didn’t come in a nice ring box as you’d expect with DY jewelry but it’s not the end of the world. (I had recently purchased another DY sterling silver ring from Nordstrom at a MUCH lower price and it came in a ring box, so that’s why I was thrown off). Packaging aside, the ring itself is so beautiful. Admittedly, the emerald green is not as vibrant as depicted in the photo but still eye catching nonetheless. It’s extremely comfortable as well. I’m just starting to get into rings because I’ve always been self-conscious of my “sausage fingers” lol but this ring makes me feel elegant and dainty. For reference I purchased the size 8.5. You really can’t go wrong with anything DY.

I have been on the search for a non-traditional Ruby ring for awhile. My local Nordstrom has this ring with different stones, but not the Ruby, so I finally decided to order it online. I received my order today via USPS - no signature required, which I was surprised by. I know if I ordered this from DY, they would require a signature. But anyway… I was disappointed with the packaging - a plain non-DY box with a DY storage bag. I felt even more disappointed when I took the ring out of its pouch. The two larger Ruby stones are *significantly* darker than in the photo. The photos make it appear brighter - almost a pinkish hue. My stones are like a very deep maroon..similar to dark wine. The smaller stones are a tad bit brighter. I know gemstones can vary in color, so I’m unsure if mine just happens to be much darker than others? I personally don’t like the dark stones on this ring, for some reason it makes it not easy or enjoyable to look at. This will be returned. I do own several other pieces of DY jewelry. 2 stars for the classic DY cable design and comfort of wear.
