Crepe Color Block Midi Dress

I really wanted to love this dress. I ordered in both the size 4 and 6 since i'm usually a 4 (27 in denim), but size up every so often depending on the dress style and brand. I couldn't get the 4 zipped up, and the 6 would probably have zipped, but the upper part of the dress already felt too constricting with the zipper halfway up, that I didn't even bother. There's something going on with the cut around the shoulders and armpits that is just off. The skirt is also too voluminous where it's gathered at the hip (where the color blocked sides meet the pockets.) Unfortunately, it made my hips look extra wide. As there is no way would I want to sit through an event in this dress, it is going back.
