La Mer
La Mer creates luxury, high-performance skin care and makeup by harnessing the power of the sea. In the 1960s, aerospace physicist Dr. Max Huber set out to help heal the appearance of scars he suffered in a lab accident. Pioneering the use of sea kelp and bio-fermentation in skin care, he created Miracle Broth™—the elixir that powers the legendary Crème de la Mer.

Very Soothing
This cleanser has changed my skin. I have been using Creme de La Mer for years , and my skin is beautiful because of that. I was diagnosed with Rosacea 20 years ago and the Creme kept it under control but I still battled redness. My skin was very smooth, but could be red. I started using this cleanser and IMMEDIATELY the redness disappeared.. All the inflammation from the Rosacea is gone. I use one pump on my Clairisonic at night when I bathe and my skin feels amazing and looks healthy. I have had a bottle since July and it is still half full, it last a long time. i do't know if I ever really had Rosacea or just very inflamed skin, but this gel has changed my skin.

Not suitable for my skin
This cleanser is not suitable to my skin. First week using it, my skin felt dry. The feeling after using wasn't as great as the other cleansing foam from this brand that I tried. Four weeks using it, my skin developed a rash and pimples near my cheeks and chin.

Formula feels different from last version
This appears to be La Mer's latest iteration of the cleansing gel. I used the previous version religiously (in the not so fancy bottle) because it helped to soothe my skin and left it feeling fantastically hydrated after I recovered from chemical peels. La Mer's cleansing gel is gentle enough that I've never had an adverse reaction. This version, though I suspect they insist it's the exact same formula, makes my skin feel "less hydrated" than the last one. It doesn't exactly "dry out" my skin, per se, but it feels less luxe than the last version. (Which, by the way, was $10 cheaper!) I can't believe they hiked up the price just because they gussied up the bottle. It also doesn't foam as well as the last version. I'll resist re-buying this version if I can manage to find the old bottle version -- which tend to pop up in Duty Free shoppes at airports. On the bright side, this bottle will at least run you 6-8 months if you use it with a Clarisonic or similar device. It lathers better with this device with just 1-2 pumps. I should note that it's not enough to use alone to remove your makeup. I recommend using this in conjunction with makeup removing wipes/oils.

La mer is wonderful.
I love La Mer products. I am 23, and I used to use over-the-counter makeup and cleansers and was never quite satisfied. I switched to La Mer recently. I don't use this product every day (it's not necessaery!), but I use it a few times a week, when my skin needs a pick-me-up. (I also use La Mer skintint.) I recommend this product. This wash is very light and does not dry out your skin, unlike normal gel face wash from the drug store. Great for every day use or weekly. I have combination skin (oily nose, normal every where else) so I like this product because it balances out my complexion.

In Love
La Mer is my newest favorite. It was first gifted to me a few montha ago by someone very, very close to the founder. They share it with friemds as they carry on his legacy. And, because of it, I am In Love with La Mer. I am 45 years old and have always used great skin care. I have never had a better cleanser. It is light and fresh. Does not strip the skin. Leaves no residue and is calming for the skin, too. My pores are smaller (which we never big to begin with) and my complexion is "dewey". #LaMer #InLove # cremeDeLacreme

Great Cleanser!
This is the best cleanser I have ever used! It clears my skin up...I have no acne now that I use the Oil Absorbing Lotion and toner.
This cleanser makes me feel very refreshed, and is so perfect. My skin is completely clean without oil and dirt, but is also refreshed and not dry. I haven't ever used a cleanser that is so cleansing and non-drying! Worth every penny.
