La Mer
La Mer creates luxury, high-performance skin care and makeup by harnessing the power of the sea. In the 1960s, aerospace physicist Dr. Max Huber set out to help heal the appearance of scars he suffered in a lab accident. Pioneering the use of sea kelp and bio-fermentation in skin care, he created Miracle Broth™—the elixir that powers the legendary Crème de la Mer.

Why La Mer is the Best in the World
I am a physician and live in WV. There is no Nordstrom within hundreds of miles and I have to order everything on line. I recently bought the Body Crème due to severe dry skin issues. I was not disappointed. Remember, I have access to every prescription cream in the world and La Mer is just better. I am probably not supposed to say this--but I am just relating personal experience, not really dispensing medical advice I suggest this product for anybody who can afford it. I use the hand treatment--an essential for a woman who washes her hands 30 times per day. At one point, I had no skin on my hands from sanitizers and washing---and La Mer restored all. I also use the lip balm. I had a really amusing time when I read that Jennifer Garner (another West Virginian) also uses this. She also has the best lips in Hollywood--sorry, Angelina Jolie. Jennifer is real and down to earth--even though she is worth millions. She related a hilarious story of her daughter throwing her beloved La Mer Lip Balm in the toilet. I have no idea what magazine this was in--so I am just paraphrasing. I can tell all of you---if it is good enough for doctors and movie stars---La Mer is really worth the money.

Not for me..
I was very excited about this body crème. I have eczema and my skin gets VERY dry so I'm always in the search of body crème so when I came across this product and with the glowing reviews (I read them all) I thought I may have found MY body crème... I wasn't so lucky like most did... I gave it a try 2 days and 2 nights but no difference with the other body crème that I've used... this is going back along with the hand serum and hand treatment that I got. So, the search for body crème that works for me continues....

Perfection!!
I LOVE LOVE this body cream. Yes it is very expensive but so worth the money. I only use this once maybe 2 times a week after I use a body scrub. I can go probably 2 days after that without applying any moisturizer... that says a lot because I have dry skin. The sent is great. BUT the KEY thing is NEVER buy this product in the jar ONLY in the tube because the tube keeps the "key" antioxidants stable and lasting long without oxidizing. Take the plunge and try it you will love it!

Repairs crepey arm skin
I have been applying this cream to my left inside forearm which was upsettingly starting to look like crepe paper. It's been bothering me for about 6 months. I am 64 and just lost weight so the problem is real. So every night for 2 weeks I slathered on this cream and now my skin is looking normal again. I can't believe it actually worked bit it did! So I am writing a review in case anyone else out there is upset with crepey skin. Try this cream!! Best wishes. (I checked a box so this review enters me into a sweestakes. Is this cream also a sweepstakes winner? lol)

LOVE this!
I have used this creme about 3 times now and already I can't believe the look and feel of my skin! It is very lightweight and absorbs well into the skin. Not greasy at all yet very moisturizing. My skin is very soft and very firm and almost even "flawless" looking with 3 applications. These 3 applications are over the course of about 1 to 1 1/2 weeks. You do not need this every day. 2 -3 times a week would be enough. The smell is pleasant and relaxing. I am very pleased with my purchase and will buy it again.

This deserves MORE than 5 stars, La Mer really delivers on its promise. This body cream is fantastic - super hydrating and rich, it absorbs beautifully leaving skin feeling fresh, nourished, calm, and glowing. Love how soft and smooth skin feels with this, even hours after applying. The fragrance is light and fresh, true to other La Mer products (which I like) and it dissipates fairly quickly. You get plenty of product and the tube makes it travel well. I also like not dipping into a jar repeatedly. Truly grateful to the La Mer brand for creating so many skincare essentials!

Luxuriously Effective
As with all La Mer products this body cream isn't inexpensive, but I think it's worth the cost. It keeps my skin supple and moisturized, and the large tube lasts a long time. I have very dry skin on my legs with itchy eczema. La Mer body cream keeps it under control. Yay! One thing to note: I think the Nordstrom description is inaccurate and is meant for the exfoliator not the body cream.
