Virgin Island Water Fragrance

Elevated, light, clean, warm, tropical, refined. It magically gives the effect of a spectacular tropical vacation without succumbing to a novelty fragrance with boozy notes of suntan lotion. It stays classy. The only literal scent I detect is a sharp note of lime. It is prominent, so if you don't like lime, this fragrance is not for you. That said, don't worry. I promise you won't smell like a margarita. It's lime in the best way possible. Though lighter than other Creed fragrances and the concerns of other reviewers about the staying power have validity, I give myself a generous dosing of this stuff in the morning which still doesn't overpower, and I find it lasts me well until the end of my workday. Lovely on its own, perhaps because of the lightness and cleanliness of this fragrance, it pairs beautifully with other scents. I had a rose layer from L'Occitane this morning and was reveling in the combination. A favorite "cocktail" at my local Nordstrom is to mix with Hanae Mori which I also have and love. I originally picked up this fragrance because it was so unusual and different from anything else I had. It took me a full wearing before I fell in love with it. But fall I did. This is a big surprise for me, but I can recommend it with my whole heart.
