Cream Blush Refill

I started with “Blossoming” blush in the iconic case and have since added three other blush colors because of their versatility. The colors are beautiful and buildable. You can use them on your lips and/ or as a cream eyeshadow to coordinate with the blush on a day where you do not have much time to apply makeup to keep things simple. I also sometimes use “Abundance” at the contour of my cheek with “Embrace” at the apple of my cheek. I am a huge fan of this blush!

I purchased the color ‘embrace’. At first glance upon opening the blush it doesn’t look as pictured because of slight oxidation but I decided to move forward. This is a magnificent ‘pinched on the cheeks’ pink cream blush that’s hydrating with staying power. The perfect amount of color with a beautiful glow.

This is a product with so much positive hype it would seem almost politically incorrect to give it a low rating. But, alas, in spite of buying at least 4 different shades, in the end, it disappoints. First of all, these blushes, more than any other cream blush I own, get dirty fast. They seem to quickly attract dust particles that make the product seem icky to apply. Why this occurs remains a mystery since this happens with this product and not others. I wonder if it's the red packaging failing to protect it. Now to the colors - they are not quite brightening enough for my pale complexion, appearing too dark on me. And they seem very similar once applied. And they oxidize, changing color and turning more orange, which isn't what I'm after. This is particularly true with Embrace, the lightest shade, which darkens into a rather salmon looking color. Too bad, because the Kjaer Weis nude lipsticks, and the color Honor, are my absolute favorite lipsticks of all time.
