Rippled Stripe Organic Cotton Duvet Cover

I bought this from a different retailer. The aloe color is a lovely grayish green that I never would have chosen in isolation, but coordinates perfectly with my bedroom decor and helps tie the space together. It is good quality in terms of construction. I love that the closure includes a full envelope so that there is no opportunity for the duvet to peak through. It is substantial and has quite a bit of texture, which I like, but will not be appropriate for those who like slippery smooth bedding. My boyfriend thought the matching sham was too rough for his face so I will be switching his pillow cover out. I docked off 2 stars because it has a really loose weave and the striped details pull easily. After 1 night, my dog had pulled the striped threading in 3 places and pushed her claw through the fabric (not a hole, just spread the weave threads apart so I could see the duvet underneath). Mind you, my Newfie has thick, rounded claws, and is reasonably gentle - she hasn't ever snagged any other bedding or blankets in 5 years. Part of the reason I ordered this was because I though that the thick dobby fabric would be robust. Unfortunately, I don't think this will last that long and plan to get a throw to protect the foot of the bed where the furball sleeps. If you have a cat with sharp claws that likes to knead, the duvet cover will be toast. It is only appropriate for pet free households.
