Coveted Duchess Rose Eau de Parfum

I struggle with rose perfume. I love it but often it becomes powdery. This is definitely one that gets better with wearing. It is long last but not over powering. Light enough to wear to the office but worthy of date night!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wearing Penhaligons Dutchess Rose, I found it elegant and feminine with rose fragrance that's gives a sophisticated character. It felt lovely in spring and summer going good even in autumn days. The opening feels rosy but it settles and becomes smoother, warmer. Performance wise its noticeable, the scent stays close to skin. The drydown is beautiful, it's soft, slightly powdery and woody. It's definitely a luxurious fragrance, it makes me feel special, it's worth considering if your a rose lover.

It has a sophisticated quality that makes you feel special when you wear it. This is the kind of fragrance that makes you reach for your wrist again and again just to enjoy another sniff. It is elegant, uplifting, mysterious and beautifully composed. The reason I’m giving it four stars is the packaging. The box was sealed, but when I opened it, I found a hole inside the top of the box. I was disappointed because the box itself is sturdy and with unique illustrations inspired by the portraits collection.
