Corvo EKG Electric Kettle

I needed a new kettle because my Bodum started malfunctioning after many years of use. I fell in love with this design, the handle is the best feature in my opinion. Anyways, I use the kettle to heat up my baby's formula and in the first use I noticed it wasn't near as hot as my old kettle. I took the temperature of the Bodum and set it on the Fellow. I was in denial for a while because there's no way such an expensive product was not performing as it was supposed to. Well it doesn't. I let the kettle cool down and would test it again and the temperature was always off. I decided to test the water directly inside the kettle and the same issue. The temperature was never what it was supposed to be. Looks great but does not perform as well as it claims to. Also, the material is stainless steel all around, it will burn your skin if you are not careful.

Did they do something different to this pot to make a $50 increase in price within a few months? I bought this in august for $149 and this price increase is crazy!

This was an impulse buy during the Anniversary Sale. I have a giant electric hot water kettle, but rarely use it since it is too big for anything practical for 1 or 2, and, well, doesn’t look all that nice on the kitchen counter so it’s also stowed away. The Fellow Corvo EKG Kettle was in the same area where I was picking up an order, and it just hit me - right, smaller size, fast heating, great looking, good brand… what’s not to like? On a whim, I picked it up, and it has been a fun go to… for the start of my day, doing slow coffee in the French press… later in the day, for a tea pick me up…. Lunch or mid day, quick instant miso soup…. Anyway, so that’s how I roll… for looks, this is great, for fast heating, 212 degrees in about 4 minutes! Stays hot, easy on off… yeah, I kinda like it.

Aesthetically, it’s very pleasing. And it works well. However, the wooden handle on top cracked the first week of use. It was never submerged in water, and continued to disintegrate.

Bought it just under a year ago. Has stopped working. Paid $200.

Not only is it gorgeous, but it also works great!
