Suncare Classic Face Makeup Setting Spray SPF30

Reapplying SPF over makeup is one of those necessary evils. Either you’re awkwardly patting in a powder that barely feels like enough protection, or you’re crossing your fingers that your morning sunscreen is still doing its job. So when I saw Coola’s SPF 30 Makeup Setting Spray, I was all in. A weightless, organic mist that keeps your makeup in place and adds sun protection? Sounds like the dream. But my experience with it was… complicated. Let’s start with the first spray. If you’ve ever gotten a little too close to a bottle of rubbing alcohol, you already know what this smells like. It’s intense! Like, eyes watering, why did I do that intense. Thankfully that fades pretty quickly, but it’s definitely a shock to the system. Once it settles the finish leans matte, which could be great if you’re battling shine. I personally prefer a bit more hydration, and after a while this felt a little tight on my skin. It also doesn’t seem like it would last long. If you’re reapplying throughout the day, I can’t see this bottle making it past a couple of weeks. That said, if you love a matte setting spray and aren’t sensitive to strong scents, this might be perfect for you! It’s lightweight, adds SPF without disrupting makeup, and absorbs oil. But if you’re looking for something that feels refreshing and hydrating, this might not be your best bet. (This product was provided for promotional purposes in exchange for my honest review)

I'm already a huge COOLA Suncare fan, so I was thrilled when they launched the makeup setting spray. I now can purchase non-SPF foundations knowing I've got this SPF to finish my look. The spray is refreshing and has great range. It keeps my foundation and blush fresh and in place. It is an ideal product to have in your bag, so you can spray throughout the day, if needed with sun exposure. Hydrating. I have seen a few reviews commenting on the sunscreen scent. As a health precaution, I avoid inhaling SPF ingredients by spraying my face and immediately walking away from that space, holding my breath. This product is ideal for those with non-SPF makeup and SPF makeup.

This product was very sticky and never really set. I really like the Urban Decay de-slick setting spray. Returned.

I first bought this and absolutely loved it but over time the sprayer clogs- which is mentioned on the package insert. I follow the directions to reinitiate the spray but it just does not work. It comes out in a stream instead. The explanation on the insert says due to the organic ingredients settling, the liquid becomes more concentrated and it clogs the sprayer. I dutifully shook the bottle every time I used it. However, I do travel and maybe that had an effect on the sprayer? Anyway- caveat emptor!

I was a tad skeptical that anything would help keep my tinted moisturizer in place during this hot summer. It usually gets sweat off in a jiff, sometimes before I even leave the bathroom! Two quick sprays of this before heading out to a winery event, and my lightly done face lasted all night, in spite of 95-degree temps and sun.

this might be good for you if you have very oily skin, but for me, it dries out any natural glow my beauty products provided.
