Declining in quality
They have made major changes that worsen build of the chuck 70s. A few years ago I couldn’t give higher praise for them. But recently, they’ve replaced the bouncy cushioning with a much cheaper foam that’s less comfortable and makes my feet sweat a lot more than the old ones. The much bigger issue is the what they’ve done to the heel. The heel used to be more durable and supportive due to a layer or two of reinforced canvas on the inner lining of the shoe. Now, there is no reinforced canvas, and they’ve added a plastic heel cup. This heel cup sucks. It cracks within the canvas which leads to ripping of the inner lining. The heel cup stabbed into my Achilles and tore the skin on my ankle. This happens within just a few months of wear. I strongly urge converse to bring back the older build quality. Until then, I will not be purchasing any new pairs of the chuck 70 and strongly urge you not to either.

New version isn’t the same classic look
The style changed quite a bit from the previous versions. The rim is thicker and looks more like a platform shoe and the black line is a lot higher up on the toe as well. Not quite the classic look that I previously loved!!

A Classic!
I love these sneakers! I'm 59 years old, and they bring back memories of the Converse shoes I wore when I was a kid. They fit just right and are very comfortable, plus they were on sale!

I love 'em.
Bought a pair of these to try them out and so far I love them. They're more comfortable to wear all day than regular Chucks, and the insoles can be swapped out for different ones. The canvas feels stronger, the soles are thicker, one thing I noticed immediately is there's none of that fuzzy stuff like on the regulars and when walking on stuff like gravel, I'll barely feel the rocks as I step on them. Other than that, I don't think I'm going back with regular Chucks, these Chuck 70's are goated.

Finally, Arch support
Chucks with arch support and a comfortable insole? It's true, real, and here.
