failed its purpose compared to product description
Failed its purpose, keep feet dry! Was walking on a busy sidewalk after a 2-3 inch snowfall & moisture leaked in, soaked inside sole & sock, no - it was not sweat. It started at the right shoe, bottom left side of heel then both shoes inside soles. Lots of tread left on bottom. Shoes didn't dry out for days.
This is the product description, inside label B13970-231. Sales receipt from dept store says "Columbia Newton Ridge Plus II Waterproof Men's Hiking Boots". I should get a refund. Get with the program guys, apply legit product descriptions, maybe "waterproof for a very brief & light rain, very shallow puddles only". Why would anyone seal a rubber sole to leather & call it waterproof / soak proof. I do not recommend this shoe to my friends or for re-purchase.

Good fit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The boot is nice. The sizing is on point. I usually wear an EEE boot. This shoe wide option fits just fine, not too tight not too loose. Perfect fit for hiking. Haven’t ised it much and haven’t exposed it to wet ground yet which is why I didn’t give 5 stars.

They take some break in and are narrow. I ware 10 d I ordered 10 medium and the were very tight, exchanged for 10 wide fit was,better.

I so want to love these.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are really great boots, and generally comfortable though a tad hard on the inside. Everything is great, BUT on my left foot, it rubs between the bottom of my achilles and the top of my heal, causing a blister. So bummed because the right boot is awesome. Light weight, comfortable and waterproof. Except I have to find a way to protect my left heal.
