Cole Haan for the Win
I ordered both the Cole Haan and Kate Spade loafer on the Anniversary Sale and chose the Cole Haan. The toe of the KS is more tappered, which is more attractive but the angle placed my toe right at the edge. I ordered a 1/2 size up but then it was too big. The CH comes up higher on my foot and stays with my when I walk with less slipping. The KS required a tongue pad to eliminate heel slipping (I have a low instep). The CH is a smidge wider, which I preferred. I liked the more orange shade of the KS over the electric red of the CH but fit wins over color. I thought the CH hardware was more subtle and wished the KS had only the logo, not the full name. The CH heel bumper matches the shoe and is more conspicuous than the contrasting brown rubber sole and heel bumper on the KS. The KS sole is more substantial, but I wasn't sure I liked the bumps. The CH insole is synthetic, not leather so it won't stretch as much and may make feet sweaty. I would prefer a leather lining (1-star removed), but that would increase the price of the shoe. I slightly preferred the look of the KS on my foot but the CH fit better and was more comfortable. This is a lowered-end CH shoe but that's commensurate with the price. I'm
keeping these and think I can wear the red with a lot. Will probably order the black too. Actually, I want all the colors!

Poor Quality Control
The first paid I purchased had a weird squeaky sound with each step. I returned them and ordered a new pair. That pair showed both shoes were the same size but on my feet they were quite different by at least a half size. One shoe was tight and longer and the other was loose and shorter. I returned those as well. Cole Haan used to be a quality brand but I'm not so sure anymore.

Horrible quality
I have worn Cole Hann loafers for years. The quality has been top notch. I bought these loafers and have had them less than a month. As you can see from the picture the front of the loafers are worn off as if I had them for years. I had them a month. I am returning them! So disappointing. Don’t know if I will wear Cole Hann again!

Comfort and quality
Good, comfortable shoe. I wish they had more half sizes in larger sizes. Hopefully they don’t stretch a ton. Needs a thin footie as it tends to squeak in bare feet.

Love these shoes
I am a solid 9.5 A in dress shoes, I have not been successful in finding a ballet type flat . These shoes fit PERFECTLY ! Instantly comfortable with a little slip in the heel when walking .. trendy and comfortable , definitely a must try !!
