Aika Print Sneaker (Women)

I've got the black and white polka dot sneakers and I get compliments on them all the time! They look cute with jeans, but also with a denim skirt or cotton t-shirt dress. I normally wear an 8 to 8.5 in regular shoes, but usually size up to 8.5 in sneakers. With these, the size 40 was the best fit for me, allowing enough room for a thin terrycloth insole (I wear them without socks). I need a lot of toe room and these are good in that area. The back heel is cut a bit high for my foot, so I have to take care to prevent blisters on long walks. For the most part they were comfortable and felt "broken in" right out of the box. The zipper is a nice touch -- no need to untie laces to remove shoes, and if my feet swell on a long walk, I can undo the zipper partway. It is very hard to find replacement laces for these shoes. The laces that come with the shoe match the zipper and are an odd shade between taupe and gray. They are also extremely thin -- for winter I wanted to switch to black laces and even had a hard time finding black laces that are this thin. The best match is men's very thin dress shoe laces. I had the idea to switch to red laces for Christmas time, but could not find any thin enough. I would love to get these shoes in another color and hope that CLOUD keeps this style around and continues to add fashion colors and prints.

I was so disappointed with this shoe. It is described as having plush cushioning so I was hoping that this would be the perfect sneaker -- not clunky, doesn't look like a trainer, very stylish with cushioning and support. When I tried it on, it did not have plush cushioning. It felt like it has minimal cushioning and it definitely did not have any support at all. So, sadly, it is going back. I gave it two stars instead of one because it is a very attractive sneaker and for someone that does not need the cushioning or support, I would definitely recommend it. It looks even better in person than it does in the photos. FYI - I did order a half size up as it says in the website and it did seem like the right size.
