Self Sun Body Tinted Lotion

I purchased the Light-Med. and the Med.-Dark as some reviewers noted that the Light-Med. really did nothing in regards to the shade difference. Since it was my first time with this product I started out with Light-Med. just to be safe- as everyone is different. I shower, exfoliate, shave, and do a light water based lotion all over my body and face and a heavier lotion on feet, knees, elbows. Get dressed. Wait about 15-30 minutes to let the lotions sink in and my pores close after shaving so I don't get the dreaded brown spots. Apply the Light-Medium Tanner mixed with my face lotion to face and neck and blend. Next with a wedged make-up sponge to feet and blend and buff out. Using gloves I apply the Light-Medium to my body working my way up. Doing my arms and hands last. Hands I apply the same as the feet. Wait 10 minutes and lightly apply just a little extra lotion to elbow, knees, ankles, feet, and my hands. Wait 15 more minutes to get dressed...and here is where the cons start: 1. It takes a lot longer than 15 minutes to dry. Used a blow dryer to speed it up and I still felt tacky 15 minutes later. Finally I just threw on a loose T-Shirt and shorts. 2. The color guide is somewhat there, but not really. I felt like the tanner did not spread evenly and I noticed spots that I went over looked not completely rubbed in-probably my error but again I felt it did not spread with ease. The Pros: 1. The color I got from the Light-Med. was more than enough for me. I was tan with yellow undertones on me which I prefer. 2. The color seemed to deepen through out the day and I had a nice glow. 3. The spots I thought for sure would streak didn't and looked fairly decent. As I felt the color got deeper through out the day. 4. My legs were not near as tan as my upper body; but that wasn't that big of a surprise. My legs take 2 apps of any sunless tanner to get to my preference of tan. 5. I feel the fade is nice. No alligator skin or flaking. Fades extremely nice actually. But, I moisturize daily. Those who don't will get a different fade for sure. 6. My feet,hands, knees, elbows, look amazing. Tanning on these areas is always hit or miss. They look lovely. 7. Did not cause clogged pores or reaction. Sensitive skin prone to cosmetic acne/rashes. Bonus! Very moisturizing for dry skin. So, in summary I went back the following night and did exactly the same thing- EXCEPT: I mixed the sunless tanner with lotion for a better application. Makes a world of difference in application and dry time. Tan looked better with this application. I will try this application with the Med.-Dark for legs only. Otherwise the Light-Med, will be my go to. Long review- but there ya go!

I begin using this product last summer.I have discolored skin because of Vitiligo,I can use this tanner on my legs and can feel confident to wear crop pants and dresses now,its absolutely a wonderful product,it stays on for about 4to 5 days,I exfolite legs first then apply on clean dry skin.I use the light med.which is perfect for me,I am stocking up so I have plenty because the stores do seem to run out its so popular.

I am a surfer and like to look tan all the time. I have blonde hair and fair skin. I have tried so many different self tanners and keep coming back to this one. I like the medium golden color it gives you. Make sure you use a mitt and apply a light coat over your body. I dont ever look orange. People at the beach think my tan is natural. I am working out and in the water a lot and my tan always last about 5-7 days, which is impressive. Nothing else i have tried has lasted as long as this product has. When it does fade, the fade is very even. The only negative about this product is that it is very greasy and stinks. A shower in the morning is a must. I am an experienced self tanner and have tried all the drugstore brands and exspensive brands as well. This product is worth giving a try. I recomend the medium/deep colar to all. I have tried the light bottle and did not like it. My tip is to make sure you apply a very light layer on four arms and to be very careful whenn applying on the ankle area. Moisturize to make the tan last.

I exfoliated with a glove, then moisturized, then applied carefully to my legs and arms. Very quickly, a soft glow appeared. The next morning, I looked like I'd just returned from a week on Hawaiian beaches! My reactions were amazement, elation, and great relief. I'm done experimenting--this is THE ONE. The slightly medicinal smell disappears in about 20 minutes, there is NO staining of clothes or sheets, and maintenance is simple. If you are still searching, give this a try. Remember to exfoliate first!
