Fragrance story: Nude Santal & Heliotrope is crafted with sustainable notes of Madagascar vanilla, cedarwood and clearwood. Clean Reserve's perfumer actively supports the communities and environments that produce the vanilla and cedarwood used in Nude Santal & Heliotrope, obtaining the highest quality, fragrant ingredients through sustainable and philanthropic practices. In support of the vanilla farmers in Madagascar, over 40 drinking wells and a local medical dispensary have been established. Locally, in Alabama, the distillation process of cedarwood obtains oil from the trees without destroying them, allowing them to live and grow in the wild. Clearwood is a new safe synthetic ingredient with a warm woody quality that has been added to the perfumers’ palette in order to consume less natural resources and carbon sources than the traditional harvesting processes of patchouli.
