What it does: The Clean Acne utilizes blue light therapy spot treatments for mild to moderate acne. SonicGlow Technology combined with over 7,000 vibrations per minute ensures a deep cleanse but provides a way to lift, firm and tone problem areas for a more youthful appearance. It deeply removes the skin's impurities by breaking down dirt and oil from within the pores. Using ultra-hygienic silicone, Clean is odor-resistant, antibacterial, hypoallergenic and waterproof, too. The hassle-free brush head never needs replacing. With four customizable modes, Clean provides a full spectrum of cleansing options. Blue Light Therapy Spot Treatment uses powerful medical grade LEDS to emit blue light that is used specifically for the treatment of mild to moderate acne.
How to use: Begin by rinsing your face with warm water then gently rub in your cleanser. Wet Clean under water and power on the device. PMD recommends modes 1 and 2 for optimum cleansing result. Move the brush head in circular motions, cleansing your entire face. It's safe to spend more time in areas that may be of personal concern. Rinse your face and pat dry. It's gentle enough for daily use.

Advertised for acne, but makes it severely worse
My acne got severely worse, using the same cleanser as always

While most individuals have noticed faster healing times when using both the cleansing and blue LED modes of the PMD Clean Acne, it is important to note that the skin does often go through a "purging" phase. These two technologies in the PMD clean acne are working simultaneously to 1. heal existing acne 2. rid the skin of emerging breakouts, and 3. prevent future breakouts. This can make symptoms appear worse for a short time, sometimes up to a couple of weeks, before improving. This is all because of the body's natural hormone and wound healing cycles. We have found that the best results usually emerge around 4 weeks of consistent use.
Don't be discouraged though! Purging is actually a great sign that the body is eliminating breakouts and is in the healing process!

Interesting Tool.
I was very excited to try the PMD Clean Acne tool but found my excitement left when using. The concept is great from the vibration getting a deeper clean to the blue light therapy option to help treat acne however I could not get past the feeling while using it. The tool itself is gentle on the skin while causing any abrasions but the vibration of the tool caused my face to tingle badly to the point I felt it was giving me light headaches from the movement while using the tool when turned on. Although I do get a little acne around my chin my focus for good facial cleans are for pore cleansing and a deep clean which this tool did do. As for the blue light therapy, I found this to be very interesting but I cannot say I noticed a significant difference that was mind blowing for me personally. All in all, I would recommend this tool for someone who is not sensitive to vibrations but for me personally I find I can take it or leave it especially since I enjoyed washing my face with the tool when turned off.
