How to use: Apply following skincare or the application of a pre-makeup base. Using the spatula provided, apply foundation to five points (forehead, nose, chin, and both cheeks) on the face. Smooth on in a circular motion on one cheek, starting from the center and moving outward and upward, as if lifting the cheek. Repeat on the other cheek. Finish by seamlessly blending the foundation over the forehead, and around the eyes, nose, and mouth.

Even better than previous formulation
After years of experimenting with countless lines of skin care and foundation, from Clinique to Dior to Chanel and many others, I found Cle de Peau and my search was over. The skincare is exceptional, and The Foundation--especially the latest, SPF 22 version--is perfection. Some say the price point is high but considering how little I use and how long it lasts, that's not my experience. When choosing your color, be aware that the SPF 22 version runs a tad lighter than previous colors, so probably go up a notch. FYI, I used to wear O10 and the O20 is perfect for me in this formulation.

More moisturizer than foundation.
It’s more moisturizer than foundation, even less coverage than some tinted moisturizers I’ve used. The texture is very rich and leaves a dewy finish, but doesn’t cover redness or smooth out complexion. Not worth the investment.

not worth the high price
I used for two weeks straight. The first week I loved. The color match was perfect, loved the moisture it gave. The second week I started to feel like it’s too heavy and thick. I don’t like the packaging because It seems like it will oxidize quicker than a foundation that is enclosed in a tube or bottle. After 2 weeks I craved going back to one of my weightless thin liquid foundations. I will keep this one on standby for days in winter when my skin is very dry. Otherwise , I don’t need all that heaviness and moisture.

I'm worth it
When I learned about this fondation, I was intrigued. I thought, "What in the world could be worth that price?" I drove 50 miles to the nearest Nordstoms. I didn't trust picking the color online. The spokesperson for Cle de Peau helped me, and I couldn't wait to try it out. I wanted to hate it. After all, what kind of fool would spend that amount of money for fondation? I soon realized the hype. It's creamy, dewey, and luxurious on my skin, and I love that it has a spf of 22. I don't use a primer under it, just a little moisturizer. I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin. It builds nicely if you want more coverage. When I take it off, my skin feels hydrated. Yes, it's safe to say I love this stuff. My skin is worth the best.

Wonderful!
I hesitated to try this foundation due to the cost… but, I had struggled to find a suitable replacement for Cle de Peau’s discontinued Radiant Fluid foundation in the black columnar packaging. I found Cle de Peau’s foundations in the square glass containers to be too thick & did not care for the coverage as well. The description for this foundation is true… light weight, blurs imperfections and is very radiant!!!

Wanted to like it
Honest review. I use Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Ultra Radiance Liquid Makeup in shade 4C3 (soft tan). When I went to the Cle' De Peau website for shade matching, they told me that there wasn't a match to this shade. So, I ordered 050 (tan ocher) and B50 (tan beige). The B50 was a closer match. So, I was ready to try it out. I applied a thin layer, and it was great. My main reason for trying this was because it was advertised as being great for mature skin and helped with fine lines and wrinkles. After the foundation settled onto my skin (15 minutes or so), I noticed that my wrinkles actually looked worse. I used a very good moisturizer and primer before using this. Maybe it works best without the primer? Wanted to love this foundation, and I could tell that a tiny amount would go a long way and this bottle would literally last forever. I might give it a day or so before deciding. I still love Estee Lauder and their Re-Nutriv line for mature skin.
