What it is: An innovative sheer-to-medium coverage foundation that combines the ease of a cream with the finish of a sheer matte powder.
What it does: Lightweight and silky, this foundation controls shine with a radiant, second-skin finish. Double blotting powder absorbs oil and resists water, reducing natural wear throughout the day for a long-lasting natural matte finish. A Light-Empowering Enhancer controls light on both the surface of the skin and beneath to amplify its radiant finish, and micro-facet technology creates a soft-focus effect to camouflage the appearance of pores and uneven skin texture. Because it offers the benefits of both a powder and a cream, it won't stick, cake or crease.
How to use: Apply following your skin care products or the application of a pre-makeup base or primer. Sweep one third of the dry applicator sponge lightly across the foundation then apply the foundation to one side of the face, gently gliding the sponge from the center outward. Repeat for the other side of your face. For additional coverage, pick up a small amount of foundation with the sponge and use in a gentle patting motion to layer as needed. For optimal application, keep the sponge clean by massaging it gently with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse the sponge thoroughly and blot gently to remove excess water, and allow the sponge to dry completely before use.

love it!
I really, really like this product. I do agree it’s a bit pricey but with that being said...it’s 2 products in one. I use to wear foundation then apply loose powder over my face to eliminate shine. I like that it’s compact enough to throw in my make up bag. I’m a fan!

I'm a huge fan of Cle de Peau and have found their cream foundation in the tube to be the best foundation ever; so I thought I would give the cream to powder product a whirl. Unfortunately the cream to powder foundation, which is pretty costly (as are all C de P products) doesn't give the same coverage; and it wasn't buildable, in case I wanted to cover any imperfections . Also I found the sponge application to leave my skin looking "streaky" and the product also left my face looking "cakey" after the cream dried to powder. So I returned the product and went back to my Cle de Peau cream foundation in the tube. It's a pricier product but worth it.

Not for dry skin
The foundation is easy to apply. However it is very dry on my skin and has a matte finish which I dislike. If you aren’t looking for a radiant dewy looking this is not for you.

Shade Match Tricky, Good for Oily/Normal
I have tested so many shades of this, I mean insane amount of time trying to figure out the right shade-And I am still confused...
O20 was way too pale, O30 way too yellow, B30 had an orangey-pink tint so I went with O40, the thing is I have an odd skin tone, neutral/olive...I can pull off the O40 yet it looks a little muddy on me-I have the Radiant Foundation in WB20 and that can look pink on me-Also, it tends to lighten the longer it's on, I've never had that with foundations before, normally they oxidize and darken, but on my face this lightens-I have no idea why but the fact I can make O40 work on me is insane-I do want to try BF20, that shade was not available so perhaps that is my magic shade?
In Tom Form Foundation stick I mix 3.7 and 4.7, in La Mer in the Fluid foundation I am in shade 12 Neutral...I am all over the place-
I think this would be beautiful on oily to normal, does not go powdery as you may think but for my dry skin folks, it does zap any dewiness away from the skin-Maybe if I were to go back home for the summer (south Florida) I'd so use this, but here in Chicago, even though it gets warm, I need hydration-
Another thing, I think you are essentially paying for the case, and honestly who carries those around and puts the product on in public using the little mirror? So that's a little crazy, for there isn't much product, 0.4 ounces and it's basically $100-

CdP makes the best foundations
I have been using CdP foundation forever, from cream to powder and liquid. Every now and then I get tempted with other brands but always come back to CdP without fail. This foundation is perfect for normal to oily skin, has beautiful medium coverage that covers all my flaws for my middle age skin, yet looks sophisticated and without that ‘makeup’ look. It’s expensive but lasts a long time and makes me look and feel good...isn’t that what any beauty product should be?

Cle de Peau Radiant cream to powder foundation
I have used every Cle de Peau foundation ever made. I always am the same shade and this formula is no exception. I have normal/combo skin and I'm middle aged with some hormonal break outs. This formula for me is the perfect summer foundation. In summer I tend to get oilier. Instead of the sponge that is provided I use a very dense brush and sort of buff it on. This does not dry down to super powdery and in no way looks cakey. The coverage I'd say is medium. It leaves me with a lovely soft skin feeling. Divine!!! The foundation comes in a sealed packet that you open and pop in the compact. I'm hoping that they will be putting out refills, so as not to be wasteful. If not, it's not a deal breaker because I'm in love.
