3-Dot Liner Eyeliner

I purchased this last August when it first came out. I was so impressed after using it that I went to purchase more. Unfortunately it was only offered for a short time. BUT they are back again so I immediately bought 4 of them. This eye liner is the easiest to use of any I have tried. It can make a very fine line or a heavy one depending on how it's applied, and it will last all day without smudging or smearing. I hope they will become a permanent part of Clarins' makeup line. I also hope they are offered in more colors!

I love this eyeliner! I love how eyeliner looks, when it is done right, and am notoriously bad at using eyeliners. I have tried all kinds - pencils, waterproof pencils, gel pencils, gel with brush, and I always seem to end up with more eyeliner on my lids than close to my lash line. Of course, this is complicated because I am 56 and the skin around my eyes is not what it used to be. This product is actually quite easy to use, and I pressing the color into my last line, rather than trying to draw a line. Awesome!!! Thank you, Clarins!

Similar to what others have said, I love how this easily fills in between my sparse lashes and gives just the right amount of definition for day, or I can add more for a bolder look. Also like several others, I wish they would make more colors--brown, plum, and gray to start would be awesome! I also love how easy it is to use, tap tap tap on each eye and done. Eyeliner has never been so easy!

Ok, so I don't wear eyeliner. It looks to harsh on me. So, I had a Laura Mercier consultant gently strong-arm me into trying her cake eyeliner :) WOW! I loved it, the look is so soft yet so enhancing to the eye. People actually noticed the difference! (Ok, so this is a clarins product review why are you talking about Laura Mercier). Well, I loved the effect, but it is a bit too many steps... need a brush, water, swirling, etc. But I LOVE the look, but I have no time for that. Well, this product gives me exactly the same look with minimal effort. I LOVE it. So easy to use, beautiful results--for the girls who are not crazy about eyeliner (like me) this product is genius!

Clarin's 3 dot liner has the virtue of being relatively easy to use and subtle and the disadvantage of being, well, 3 dots. While this means that you can fill in between sparse eyelashes or enhance the look of your lashes, this requires getting so close to the lash line that I found it nearly impossible. Therefore, instead of just appearing to have thicker lashes you really do create a line just above your lashes. And this means that you must use the 3 dot feature repeatedly to avoid having a, well, dotted line along your lashes. It's not terribly difficult to go over the area several times so that the line fills in but I do find that the alternative of attempting to "draw" a line using just one side of the applicator gives me a thicker line than I like. From the description of the liner, it seems that Clarins may be confused about whether this is a kind of mascara ("lengthens and strengthens lashes") or an eyeliner, and the results are, then, predictably mixed.
