Simple Suede Tote

So classy, the suede is high quality. I love it.

I ended up returning this tote. The bag was delivered in a small box and was folded over so it had wrinkles in the suede. The bag itself was hard to carry the straps were so short and the strap for the shoulder was also too short. The bag was soft and well made just not well designed.

This is the prettiest, yet most impractical purse ever. The suede is neutral and so lovely with the mustard yellow handle. However, the short handle straps are ridiculously short and uncomfortable and the "long" shoulder strap barely makes it over the shoulder. The bag does not have any sort of really structure, so it does not hold its shape when either empty or filled. It just plops down. It has some feet at the bottom for protection, but they are a total joke. Since the bag doesn't hold itself up, the feet end up being mere decoration. Such an utter disappointment from Clare V. This is not my first Clare V bag. They are not the most practical of every day bags, but they are rich, lovely, unique, and they make quite the fashion statement. The Anniversary sale price point for this bag isn't bad, but I can't help but wonder about the durability of the bag for everyday use.

I’m giving this four stars because I’m not sure how I feel about the lack of structure With this bag. Otherwise the bag is beautiful.

I got this bag during the anniversary sale. I want a nice size short handle bag, do not really care for a shoulder strap. Also do not want a bag that is made in China. Got a Clare V clutch in a Popsugar Neiman Marcus box before and the craftsmanship is exquisite. Also all Clare V is made in USA. I searched for reviews on this simple tote, but nobody even mention that this is not a structured tote. It will not stand on its own, especially when empty. The suede is very pretty, and very signature Clare V. I am looking forward to buying another one with sttipes, hopefully in leather, which might be more structured, also this does not come with a dust bag.

Beautiful suede and great quality. Perfect size to fit my 13" laptop + notebooks. Neutral colors go with almost every outfit. Magnetic closure is a lot more effective than I anticipated. Not sure why the photos show a longer yellow strap, but this only comes with the striped guitar strap; it's an odd length (too short for crossbody and when worn on shoulder the size of this bag looks ridiculous on me) and tends to get in the way of slipping items in and out, so I don't plan to use it. Only other downside is the short handles are raw edged and tend to be uncomfortable when carrying heavy items for extended periods.
