High Coverage Foundation Brush

This brush is wonderful. It even makes bad foundations work well! So this ended up saving money because I had 5 high-end foundations that I was about to trash due to settling in fine lines and pores. If you find that it streaks, it is normal for all brushes to do that. For a last step, use the brush to quickly stipple all over your face. Works perfect!

First foundation brush purchase, didn’t need one when I was younger but with age my pores and creases are more pronounced so I splurged. Glad I did, my foundation looks so much more natural when I blend with this brush. I found that I can also apply and blend concealer, a bit of powder, and blush with the same brush. Then I wash one brush and I am done. Only added 1 extra minute to my routine and it’s worth it. Super versatile.

While refreshing make-up in store, this brush was used to apply foundation. I had a brush & passed on purchasing. That changed when I tried doing makeup at home. My foundation brush (a nice one) didn’t compare. This brush is a game changer for making make-up look natural and flawless. Excellent coverage.

This is my first Clé de Peau purchase. I admit that I had high expectations for this makeup brush due to the positive reviews here and elsewhere. I paid a premium price for what I thought would be a premium product. This brush is a major disappointment. First, the handle is plastic. I admit that I should have read the description more carefully but TBH it’s not so much the fact that it’s plastic that bothers me. It’s that it’s very lightweight and cheap feeling. It feels as hollow as a child’s toy. Second, the shape and ergonomic design of the handle isn’t user friendly. I had a hard time finding a good grip that felt natural. I used the brush twice. Each time I was unable to relax my hand and apply foundation with ease. What should have been a simple task became somewhat of a challenge. The bristles are soft enough but not any softer than what you’d find in a brush for half the price. This is the first time I have returned a cosmetic product that I had actually used. I generally gift things I can’t use or don’t like but I don’t feel comfortable gifting this because I feel it’s a substandard product. On a broader note, I’m concerned about the overwhelming number of incentivized and therefore potentially undeserved positive reviews that litter the review sections that litter the Nordstrom site. I’m wary of any product where a majority of the positive reviews come from people who received a product for free or are reviewing just to enter some sort of sweepstakes or giveaway. Nordstrom, I hope you would give customers the option to filter out incentivized reviews. I want to hear from customers who are reviewing a product they bought and used, and have nothing to gain in exchange for their “honest” opinions.
