Loved this dress!
Needed a dress for a retirement ceremony I was planning and participating in, and it also needed to be purple. Ordered 7 styles in multiple sizes (from multiple stores) and this one was the winner.
It is a simple dress, but unlike some others, didn’t look like a basic frock or a sack when put on. The neckline was very flattering and it was cut in a way that minimized focus on my midsection which is my trouble area.
It’s a thicker and more substantial dress, which is nice - not thin and clingy, and good for winter. Probably not great for summer. No zipper - just pulls over the head. Material has a lot of give but also manages to maintain some structure. Super comfy - kept it on for almost 10 hrs. Can’t say the same for the shoes. Ha, ha!
Plus - it has pockets! These came in handy in general, but were especially great for holding my phone and other necessary items as I worked to get everything in place for the event.
I was a little unsure of sizing due to recent weight loss, but the 18 worked well (5’4” around 230 lbs).
Overall, great dress that can be accessorized/dressed up as needed for a work, church, or a slightly dressy affair. A definite keeper!

yes it has pockets, but they detract
the pockets are sewn poorly and stick out on the silhouette. It's unfortunate because the material and neckline are very elegant and comfortable.

Beautiful BUT Be Aware of Sizing
This dress is absolutely beautiful and the petunia color is a vibrant purple 💜. Please pay attention to the City Chic Sizing chart. I didn't and ordered a Large. It was huge. I returned it and ordered a Small and it fits. I'm 5'10" and normally wear a 14W.

Yay-a dress that doesn’t look like a
Sack
I was dreading to shop for a dress to wear to an event. I have gained weight and am apple shaped. I ordered a several dresses from different stores and this one fit and looked the best. The bodice is close fitted in the bust area and then the skirt flares out so it is not tight on the stomach. Fabric is heavyweight and smooth. Pockets are a plus. I typically wear a 1X and the Medium fit best. The shoulders are a bit big but I think Small would have been too tight. I’m a 40 H bust size for reference. I’m 5 ft 5” and weigh 217. I chose the navy blue and it’s very deep. One last thing- there is structure ( boning)on the small V neckline so the shape remains nicely.
