Christy Leather Moto Jacket

I really love the style of this jacket, but the quality just isn't quite there. The leather is very soft, but it's very thin. I know it's supposed to look distressed, & I love that look, but I think the amount of distressing it has right off the bat, combined with how thin the leather is, I don't know that it would hold up well over time. The zippers worked fine, but they didn't zip & unzip as smoothly as I expected. Some of the stars had a little grey on them, which fit with the look of the jacket, but it made me wonder if that was done purposefully for the look, or did some of the black transfer onto them. Which again, makes me wonder how it would hold up over time. For sizing, because it can be confusing-I would go with where your measurements land with the clothes you'll likely wear with the jacket according to Mauritius' size chart. It says 'order one size up from what you normally wear', so I thought that meant one size up from where you landed on their size chart. But trying the jacket on, I think the 'one size up' thing is already accounted for in the size chart. For example, I usually wear a size 8 or M in most brands, but my exact measurements put me at a 9/10 or L on Mauritius' size chart. Being that I'm in the uppermost range of that size, & am a weightlifter, I ordered an 11/12 or XL, & it was too big. I know fit is a matter of personal preference, but it was too boxy through the chest & waist, & the armpits were way too low. It just wasn't as flattering as a 9/10 likely would have been. But I probably would not re-order in the smaller size. I think if you get this with the intention of just wearing it every so often & you love the style, it might be a good buy. But if you're like me & planned to get a lot of wear out of it, it may not be the best investment.
