What it is: A candle that adds ambiance, warmth and fragrance to your hearth and home.

Fragrance story: Choisya is the botanical name of the Mexican orange blossom flower. Its fragrance is greener and more lively than its Mediterranean relative. As the shrubs break into bloom, the buds slowly open to release their delicate perfume.

Style: Floral.

How to use: The first time you burn your diptyque candle, allow it to burn for at least two hours until the whole top is liquid with wax to help your candle burn more evenly next time. Before lighting, trim the wick to 1/4-inch length, which will allow the candle to burn slowly and help avoid unsightly black marks around the edge of the glass. After blowing out your candle, re-center and straighten the wick.

Orange blossom

I am a die-hard Diptyque fan. This line is absolutely sublime. Choisya is a true orange blossom scent, with dusty quality you can pick up after about 20 minutes. It is soft yet quite present and ligers long after you blow out the candle. I find it is perfect for late summer when the air in the evenings starts cooling down. Diptyque candles are truly the best.

save your money

After all the rave reviews, I had to try this candle. For $65 I was not impressed. I have been burning it in my bedroom which is not a huge space and I can barely smell it.

Orange blossom

If you love orange blossom... like Jo Malone's orange blossom, this scent is definitely it. I love this candle, it's my second from Diptyque. First was figuer. I wish this was a little stronger, but I use it in my bedroom so I'm glad it's not too strong. Some of the voluspa candles make my eyes tear up because the fragrance is so intense. But this scent is just lovely. Very clean, slightly citrus and floral. I do not detect a powdery note.

Summer love

I am so in love with this scent! Perfect for summer. I didn't have any experience with orange blossom, but it smells exactly like what I would have expected orange blossom to be. It smells warm and lightly sweet and floral, but not at all cloying. I didn't use to burn candles in summer, but Choisya is a now an everyday staple--I even took it with me on vacation. Love!!!

beautiful orange blossom scent

I spent a while tooling around trying cheaper orange blossom candles before I realized I should have just gone Diptyque from the beginning. Choisya is a lovely orange blossom scent that leans toward the bitter rather than the powdery, making it feel fresh and airy. It has a light, expansive feel to it, and it *will* fill a room, although gently. Of all the orange blossom candles I tried it has the best throw by far. It became a summer staple when I first burned it and although I buy stronger Diptyque candles (like Patchouli) in the small size, because this is a lighter scent and I burn it with the windows open, I am switching to the large size for Choisya.

Paraffin wax. All Diptyque candles are paraffin

SCENT - the smells wonderful. It’s why I bought it. I love orange blossom and smelled this when I was in Paris at one of the many Diptyque boutique there. I bought it when I came back here. It’s smells wonderful - that’s not the issue. This is a PARAFFIN not soy or beeswax candle. By chance, after years of buying Diptyque candles for myself and others, I finally noticed that these are paraffin, a petroleum derivative. I see no point in avoiding VOCs and other forms of carcinogens, and then burning a candle that's a petroleum derivative. I’m disappointed in Diptyque and Nordstrom for selling something like this when there are safer non-carcinogenic soy and beeswax candles. So I’m returning this and will either buy Le Labo or one of the better French brands one can easily find online. Hopefully, Nordstrom will carry them one day.
