2025 chenille sweaters not so great
Having bought two EF chenille sweaters in 2024 and loved them, I looked forward to my new ones from the fall 2025 collection. Chenille sweaters are great transitional pieces and I wore mine in early fall and then again, recently. The first wash went well but the second wash of the ink one left a massive mess from the chenille shedding. Shedding so much that I’m worried it will be see through. I had to get out my vacuum to clean up the disaster in both the washing and drying areas. Suffice to say, I will not be buying anymore chenille sweaters from Eileen Fisher. I’m guessing the fabric supplier was changed from 2024 to 2025.

I thought this chinelle sweater would be thicker. Very thin and felt side slits were too long. The color was nice. Just felt for this price it would have more substance.

I'm torn about this sweater
Like so many of the reviews, this sweater sheds an unbelievable amount. I've collected at least 3 cups of fluff that has fallen off the sweater. When I shake it stuff goes flying everywhere. I thought washing it would help, but it's still shredding like mad. The sad part is I really love the look, color, feel and fit of the sweater. I love Eileen Fisher clothes, but this is a disappointment. I really hope the reply from Elieen Fisher doesn't acknowledge that there's a problem here. This many reviews can't be wrong!

This was a fabulous looking sweater, but upon the first wear, it began to shed so badly that I needed to vacuum my house. Sadly, I had to return it.
