Ruffle Maxi Dress

I got this dress for an outdoor evening event. The material has a slight sheen to it, it’s substantial and very flowy but the top bodice gives it structure. I love the length for a maxi. I’m 5’6 and it just grazes the floor. Weight is 150 and i typically am a small 4 in dresses , and I got a small. I can’t think of anything i don’t like about this and the turquoise color is gorgeous.

I bought this dress in Teal for a wedding in August - salesperson who is amazing made me try it on - totally out of my box - but I love it and the material is great and it has pockets. I bought a Medium and I am a size 6-8 and 36D - I still have to have a few minor alterations done. Can't wait to wear it.

Material is thick and a bit shiny. Makes it look dressier. I was looking for something more casual to wear to the beach. Skirt is flowy and nicely shaped. It has pockets and the way it gathers at the upper part of the waist, it hides my belly. The problem is the upper part. Waaaaaay too tight. It looks terrible and of course very uncomfortable. I’m 5’10, bra size 38D, 200 lb weight. I wear size XL and 16 in tops and L, 12-14 in bottoms. I bought size XL. I’m returning this dress.

This dress is lovely - especially for a postpartum gal like me. It hides my imperfections but I still feel beautiful and trendy in it. The teal color is perfect. True to size. My only complaint is the packaging (nothing to do with the dress, everything to do with Nordstrom). I ordered this before when it was full price for a summer wedding in June but returned it because it was too thick for an outdoor wedding with 90+ degree weather. I saw it was on sale and decided it would be great for an October wedding coming up. This second time ordering it, I can see the difference in packaging. The dress came in a shipping bag, not wrapped in anything but that. No protection from any potential things that could happen before it got to my house. The tag is different and there is a random safety pin with nothing attached to it. Makes me think it was already worn? Either way, for what was a $150 dress, you would think Nordstrom would do better with packaging.
