Chatelet Air 2.0 Tote Travel Backpack Bag

Nordstroms had a couple variations of this bag, so I read the reviews of those bags, taking into account what people did not like/what was missing etc. I settled on this backpack over others for the reasons of: it having the strap on the back that goes over the handle of your suitcase: the top handles to carry it if needed: it matches my suitcase: it has a sewn in keychain near the top of the inside for keys/wallet(in my case, both), and those being secure, but also easy to remove from the keychain, making them easily accessible, is important for me: the three sliding spaces for laptop/magazine/ tablet, two of them being secured with a velcro strap over the top of them: if you put your bottled beverage in the outside holder first, then load it, its easier to load: It fits my purse on the inside: there are still more storage pockets on the inside and outside: It has a leather bottom: now that I have it in person, the quality feels sturdy. I rated it 4 stars because if you look at the top left corner of the backpack, around the patchwork for where the handle is sewn on, the fabric is bubbled, not fully adhered to the bag. I am going to attempt to steam it to see if that helps stick it back on, if not, it is a detail I will live with, as it does not affect the functionality of the bag. Maybe I’ll put pins there to cover them. I registered the warranty with my bag, and ultimately am happy with my purchase. I have not traveled with it yet, but have a trip coming up soon, and just hope all I am used to having in my backpack, still fits. Hope this helps!

Perfectly design and super elegant. Just the right size and all the compartments and pockets are designed just as you would want them. Love it.

Very cute and fashionable backpack that complimented my other Delsey pieces very well. A decent amount of inside storage. However the make and mind behind this concept was not executed very well. The bag's opening (zipper) is vey stiff and difficult to unzip. What is even worse is attempting to zip the bag. It was so cumbersome that I dreaded zipping it for the next go round. 1 out of 10. I do not recommend purchasing this model. I will be returning this bag at my earliest convenience.

I have been a Delsey fan for years. I have even given a set to my daughter-in-law one year for Christmas. I love the pink Chatelet series, and have been stopped by other travelers at train stations and airports, asking me where I got it. Usually it’s a husband saying something like ‘where did you get that? My wife would love it and I want to get it for her.’ travels well, the wheels are smooth rolling, and so easily ‘stuffed under the bed’ on cruise ships. Even when the airline crushed the corner of a bag and I lost the entire wheel assembly several years ago, support was responsive to help me with a temp fix to get home and get a replacement. Going to Paris in the fall and was hoping to even get a tour of the factory, but alas, it is not offered.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loving this bag so far. It matches my carry on roller perfectly and fits my laptop. I also like the top handles so it feels more like a handbag. Nice to not have to travel with a suitcase, laptop bag, and purse.
