Amazing!
Am quite surprised at the mixed reviews of this foundation. I got a generous sample of shade #4, which is a perfect match for my skin tone. I would say its amazing on my 51 year old skin. Being over 50 I have quite a bit of wrinkles and my skin can be dry in some areas, but this foundation has given me great, luminous (not greasy) coverage that no other foundation ever did. Its not too heavy. It just gives you the right amount of coverage to make you look flawless. It applied easily with a foundation brush and held very well through the day. Any shine later in the day can be easily remedied by a blotting paper. Overall I am extremely happy with this foundation and will DEFINITELY purchase it.

Better foundations available for the price
I went to a Charlotte Tilbury counter and requested samples of this and the Youth Wonder foundation. I rarely purchase foundation without trying it at home for a few days first as I know I can avoid a return if I do this. This was no exception. I am Fair 1. The color was alright. It blended well with my pale skin and freckles. It looked fine for at least a few hours. It's not full coverage. To me, full coverage is Estee Lauder Double Wear which is also sweat-proof, transfer-proof and truly long lasting. Indeed, Estee Lauder Double Wear is the gold standard as far as I'm concerned when it comes to long wearing, full-coverage make-up. Anyway, back to this, the medium to lighter coverage didn't bother me as I don't need full coverage. I don't think it wore well throughout the course of a regular day though it was by no means as bad as the Youth Wonder foundation. This one felt a bit mask-like, but my biggest issue was that it made my chin and forehead break out badly :( It took me about a week to clear up the irritation/acne. I'm glad I didn't purchase it as I didn't love it by any means (love=Armani Luminous Silk for natural coverage and Estee Lauder Double Wear for full and/or long-lasting coverage). For color match reference, I'm 1N1 or 1W1 in Estee Lauder Double Wear and #4 in Armani Luminous Silk and Fair 1 worked fine and Fair 2 was also pretty close (I could tell little difference between Fair 1 and Fair 2).

not what i expected
After reading all the articles about how great this foundation was rated, I purchased to cover my freckles and acne scars. I have tried applying it with a brush, fingers and beauty blender. It is extremely light and sheer coverage it did not cover anything at all, it was like the lightest tinted moisturizer I have tried. I have combination skin and seem a little too drying, I had to use a moisturizing primer to not look dry. I'm sorry but can't recommend as it claims to have coverage but I didn't find it that way..back to my guerlain.

awful , it went back !!
How can this be on the market ! I bought the 03 which looks orange but the color was not the problem , the formula is terrible , dry , cakey and it just pulls the skin , it makes you look like a mummy , I couldn't wash it off my face fast enough , I am comparing this product with YSL , Cle de peau and even the new Clinique beyond perfecting and this one doesn't deserve any stars . I used it with a primer and with out it and no , it is just an awful formula . I am done with Charlotte , some eyeshadows are ok and some lipsticks but the rest ,NO I am sticking with the tried and true.

Extremely Disappointed
Where to begin. I am no novice to expensive foundations, as I have purchased many. I have combination skin, and not huge pores but slightly visible on my upper cheeks. I used a nice primer and then applied this foundation in light layers. First of all, this foundation is NOT full coverage. I get much better coverage with my Nature Republic BB cream. On a scale from 1-5, the coverage is about a 2. After a few hours of wear, I can literally see this foundation rubbing off and smearing - gross! It also settled in my pores making them so visible. So very disappointing. I was hoping this would be magic but it ended up being a waste of money. Maybe I'll try other CT products, but this one really turned me off to the line.

I had to find out for myself...
Spoiler alert: I'm about to add to the very conflicting reviews of this foundation. After reading so many polarizing reviews I figured the only way to decide for myself was to give it try and I'm glad I did. I have combination skin and this foundation keeps matte for a good part of my day without having to blot which really surprised me because very few foundations do that for me. I did use a primer under it (MAC oil controlling lotion and Skindinivia oil-controlling setting spray) but I do that for every foundation I wear. It reduces the size of my pores which is also a plus for me. I don't think that it is full coverage, I find it more of a light to medium but you can build the coverage without it looking cakey. I usually use only one pump because I don't have too much to cover other than a little bit of redness which one pump is enough to do that.
Way-to-go-me because I was able to order my perfect shade on the first try (shade 3- I'm a NW13 in Mac; Nars all day weightless foundation- Gobi; Nars Velvet tint- Alaska; MUFE Mat velvet- shade 30- if any of it helps)
Overall, I give 4-stars because I wouldn't say it's magic but a pretty a good foundation nevertheless.
