I do not use waterproof mascara so I can not comment on its use for that
Otherwise, it is not irritating, and more effective than Clarins gentle eye makeup remover, for example. More effective I think than Orlane. It works for me. A lot of them have mineral oil as an ingredient, something I avoid, like using baby oil.

Thankful that it was a just a sample because wasting money on this product would be a shame. This removed no eyemake up at all, it only managed to smear it all over my eyes. All the eye products at the time of testing this eye make up removal susbtantce were chantecaille, none of them were water resistant. Smelled pleasant.

Not a Good Eye Makeup Remover
I am used to loving Chantecaille products but this one is not very good. It doesn't do a good job of removing my eye makeup even with two or three swipes with a cotton swab. After three swipes, my eye gets a little sore. I would not recommend it.

Gentle
This is a very gently product to use. I wouldn't recommend it for actually removing makeup rather it is nice to use over the eyes on non-make up days or just to clean up the eyes in the morning. I love Chantecaille but the prices are so incredibly expensive that I won't repurchase this product.

Very gentle
I was looking for a really gentle eye make remover as I’ve been having problems with very dry eyelids which at time have been cracking. It’s very painful so I was looking for a very gentle eye make up remover. This is absolutely perfect. It doesn’t sting or cause any tightness but gently removes my mascara. I received a sample and would love to purchase but currently out of stock - hopefully not for long.
