Luster Glide Silk Infused Eyeliner

I had tried Tom Ford's eyeliner pencil which I liked very much. It was easy to smudge, but the cap always hit the tip, flattening it. I had to be too careful to lightly place it on, and the color wasn't black enough, so I tried this Chantecaille pencil. This one has the right amount of pigment, but it isn't smudgable, so I have to be very careful where I place it. My eyelids are made from skin, not glass, and it is a bit difficult to create a clean line. I have to put it right up against my lashes and then fill in any skipped areas afterward. The five star review is because it stays on all day without fail. The color is just as intense in the evening when I remove my makeup. The surround to the pencil doesn't appear to be made of wood, and I can't figure out what it is. I have to sharpen it and then lift the sharpener straight up to cut the surrounding material. Like the Tom Ford pencil, the cap squishes the tip of the pencil, so be careful putting on the tip, and always bring a sharpener with you if you are away from home.

I LOVE Chantecaille and use a lot of her products. I took a break from buying anything new for a little while, but I’m back because I had to have the luminescent eye shadow collection and the eye duos (they are all AMAZING!!!!). I have the luster glide pencils in Raven; Violet Damask and Jasper and I love them. So easy to apply. Can tightline perfectly and use in waterline without irritating my very sensitive eyes (love brightening kajal pencil for waterline too). The colors are very lustrous too, just as name implies. This review is specifically for the shade Black Forest, which I just ordered though. My eyes change color from green to gray to blue to combo of all three. I love wearing blue, purple or green eyeliner to make eyes pop. I have tried every freaking shade of green there is. From hunter to emerald to jade to moss to olive and on and on. Search is now over for my HG green becauseBlack Forest is absolutely gorgeous and makes my eyes look amazing. If you are looking for the perfect green, or looking to expand your colors...this is IT! Love it in the waterline. Such a unique, well balanced color that it will flatter all eye colors!! Seriously can’t recommend enough!

Im literally shocked over all the great reviews! It was actually all the positive reviews that prompted me to purchase this eyeliner. I love Chantecaille's foundation so figured I'd give this a try. Application is wonderful. Once applied it looks amazing. BUT it does NOT stay put. Not even for very long. Within a half hour: It creases, it melts away, it gives raccoon eyes, rubs off easily. And I live in a dry climate. I cannot imagine what it's like living elsewhere with this liner. I really wanted to love it but had to send it back. Also a bummer it has to be sharpened and it doesn't even come with a sharpener.

I'm extremely impressed with my new Chantecaille Luster Glide Silk infused eyeliner. I have allergies and other eye problems. I also wear contact lenses. This pencil lives up to its name! I am in love with the color to enhance my blue eyes. The color is a gorgeous dark, shiny, complimentary brown "Earth." I know this pencil is costly, but I can wear it all day without eye irritation and it looks smooth, creamy and well worth the price. It glides on without any pressure. I love to buy from Nordstrom's. I can always try and, if necessary, return products without the extra cost. I highly recommend both the product and store. I intend to try another color soon.

I was excited to try this brand (since it avoids a lot of the nastier petrochemicals in most makeup), but skeptical about whether I'd find the product worth the price point. This pencil glides on very easily, but it sets surprisingly well. I also have really sensitive, dry eyes, and even on the waterline this didn't irritate them at all. So far, I'm impressed and would try other colors as well!
