What it is: An innovative oil-free gel foundation with a refreshing, lightweight texture and a unique formula with 60% water.
What it does: It transfers moisture into the skin without the use of oil as an emulsifier. Future Skin is made with reflective circular pigments that provide adjustable coverage (medium-to-full) and ease the appearance of flaws. It is also loaded with natural botanicals including aloe, chamomile and arnica that calm irritation and soothe sensitive skin. Rosemary, green tea and rice bran help prevent environmentally caused oxidation.
How to use: Apply foundation to areas that appear red or uneven using a foundation brush. For a lasting flawless finish, follow with powder.

Stands Up to High Magnification
Like many age 50+ women, I use a magnifying mirror to put on my makeup these days. I've used good foundations from perfectly respectable companies as I aged, so I had no idea I was settling for less until I ordered this product. I took for granted that I was going to see my pores in my mirror even with makeup applied .
The last foundation I'd settled for before Future Skin was good quality, but I'd gone back to the counter after using it for a week to make sure it was the right shade for me; somehow it made my face look a little pale. No, I was assured, it was the right shade.
No, it wasn't. Chantecaille's Camomile is the perfect shade for me. Company X had simply given me the closest shade they'd had.
Future Skin is not only the perfect shade; it's the perfect look. It's medium to full coverage, but even in my magnifying mirror, it looks like ME, not like make-up. I no longer have to stare at my pores under high magnification; Future Skin polishes my look in a way the other good foundations haven't. And the price? You're worth it, and besides, when you divide by the number of days it takes to get through a jar of Future Skin, you realize it's just a few pennies a day.

Chantacaille Future Skin: Try Before You Buy
In my hunt for a new summer foundation I tried this gel cream in Ivory, which was too peach/orangey for my pink undertones. Went on smoothly with a brush and dried down to a nice matte finish. Hours later my skin felt itchy, looked oily. I couldn’t wait to wash it off, saw little red bumps and a nasty comedone next day. The open jar packaging is not hygienic for a pricey foundation. I rotate through foundations and don’t stay with one, so closed packaging is important to extend shelf life. A stylist recommended the product and color with a sample but the formula, packaging and shade didn’t work for me. Nordstrom generously provides foundation samples. It helps to try before you buy. I found at least two others that I love and purchased after sampling.

it took me a minute......
initially, I hated it. Seriously, I didn't get why people liked the foundation so much. I told myself to give it two weeks, I was hitting the end of two weeks and still despised it (at this price point, hate and despise are the correct words). Then, I talked to my mom. She doesn't use this brand but she told me that I was applying foundation wrong (in general). She reminded me that she's been telling me for years that I need to pat foundation in- not use a brush, not "rub" it in. I need to "pat, pat, pat." I figured why not? I'll try that method. I should've listened to my mother earlier. After doing the pat method, I LOVE this foundation. My face looks natural but flawless. I will be repurchasing!!!!

WAH-HOW!
Love, Love, love this stuff! I thought Armani was amazing, and it is...but this beats it. Armani's colors are a bit more odd, I was forced to blend 2 together. I got a sample of this in "nude"..then went back and purchased it. If you have some pink to your skin and you are light/medium, w/combination or normal skin, this will amaze you. I think it will work for all skin types..except maybe very dry. the coverage is beautiful, it's really light, you can't feel it on, and it looks like whipped cream in the jar! I love the consistency because it is easy to blend and it doesn't spill. It also does not get into fine lines, & there is no fragrance.

gorgeous natural finish that lasts all day
I have combination skin, rosacea and occasional acne and this is the BEST foundation I have ever used. Why? It hydrates, yet doesn't leave my skin oily. It covers without looking cakey. It lasts all day. I rarely have to powder at all. It doesn't oxidize.
ALL of this and it isn't tested on animals!! Hallelujah!! Best foundation ever.

Not good for combination skin
I have combo skin. Tzone oily. Although I love Chantecaille, (most of their products) and liked the way this foundation looked on me, this product gave me immediate further comedones. For some reason, Chantecaille foundations and sunscreen leave film, or shine on my skin and don't work well with me. I think it is a great product for people with normal to dry skin. My savior in foundation, I have tried many...Is SMASHBOX BB Cream. I recommend it for anyone that has troubled skin that reacts to most makeups. I have tried many foundations, and Smashbox BB, did not give me any comedones or flare ups like other products.
