Brilliant Lip Gloss

After years of searching for the perfect gloss, I bit the bullet and ordered a tube of the Chantecaille gloss in "Folly" (I'm a sucker for a good peachy lip). Since that tube I have been hooked on these glosses. I own an assortment of colors, but I have repurchased "Folly", "Love", and "Lucky" several times each. First, this gloss is as moisturizing as any lip balm I've ever used. When my lips are feeling parched I apply this gloss and voila - a hydrated pout. I think people are often disappointed because of the lip plumping claim (which Chantecaille really needs to either clarify or omit from the product description). This gloss does make lips look more plump - it hydrates, which does make lips appear larger and more supple. It isn't a drastic change. My lips always do look healthier when I use this gloss, though. There is no real scent to the product. I, personally, love this. I get tired of all the juvenile vanilla-caramel scented lip products. Oh, and the brush is amazing. It's an actual brush - not a doe foot applicator. This is (all around) just the best gloss ever made.

I purchased this gloss in Glee after reading raving reviews about Chantecaille gloss and Angie's being a fan. I am very disappointed. Pros: I purchased Glee. The gloss is not sticky and has a nice minty feel to it. It brings out the natural color of lips. It is very hydrating, when I apply at first it feels very nice on my lips and is very moisturizing. Cons: It is NO staying power, within a few minutes especially if I go out the shine is lost and there is very little left on my lips. It is a little sticky, not as much as other brands though. The glosses are very very sheer. When I first tried a few I thought they were pigmented under the bright store lights, but come home and the glosses have barely any pigment. You might as well buy a completely natural or transparent gloss. The gloss also does not have as much of a shimmer as it shows in the bottle. The trio of Crystalline, Patina, and Glaze appeared more pigmented in the store, but I could feel their crystals/shine on my lips. For the price, I expected much more, so overall I am disappointed. I will not buy Chantecaille again. I also compared it with Chanel, Chanel glosses are sticky but are pigmented and have more shimmer. In hindsight I would have purchased a Chanel gloss or the sheer lipstick.

I'm so glad Nordie's is starting to carry Chantecaille products! The lip gloss is great! Not at all sticky, very sheer with a light layer or heavier color if you put more on. It feels nice on. Don't be afraid of the colors--they look completely different on (and very bright in the tube!). I recommend going to the store to try them before buying on line.

I'm not a gloss girl, I hated them. They have no staying power, and they're VERY sticky. This is the perfect gloss! It's moisturizing, non-sticky and stays for a decent time. When it's gone my lips stay smooth and soft. All of Chantecaille's products are amazing, high quality with a gorgeous variety of colors!

I have repurchase this over and over. It’s gotta be one of my favorite gloses aside from the Fenty one. I own the shade Charm, which I got once I found that this was the shade Angelina Jolie wore on the movie Salt. Makes your lips look soo juicy and I love that it’s NOT sticky as other glosses that I have purchase, which is huge for me, because there’s nothing more annoying than having a lipgloss with a feeling that you can barely open your mouth :/ I like to wear this with a lip pencil close to my skin tone. Some people don’t like that you have to reapply, but is not an issue for me since the more long wearing it is the more sticky the gloss will be as well. I will forever keep repurchasing this gloss
