UV ESSENTIEL Multi-Protection Daily Defense Sunscreen Anti-Pollution Broad Spectrum SPF 50

Wonderful lightweight and moisturizing broad spectrum sunscreen that wears well under makeup. It does have a strong perfume scent, so if you are sensitive, I do not recommend. I am a woman of color of South Asian descent, and wear Chanel shade 50 in foundations, Dior 4 WO, or MacNC42. As you can see in my picture, the fluid has a light yellow white tone and leaves a slight cast when blended out on my upper forearm/wrist, but once I wear my makeup, it is easily covered. I use this as adequate protection since I use glycolic treatments for hyperpigmentation, so the slight cast doesn't bother me much for daily wear. The minimal cast adds a slight brightness due to the yellow tone if blended properly.

I bought this because I’d been looking for a nice lightweight SPF to layer under my makeup. As a professional makeup artist I’m always on the hunt, this not only works as a primer, it gives my skin a beautiful glow before applying my foundation. I highly recommend to anyone that believes SPF of the “fountain of youth”. You’ll be just as obsessed as me! I’m excited to use on all my spring and summer brides!

As someone who has had Melasma for a few years, I’ve tried so many sunscreens and this is the only one I feel it actually blocks light from various sources, including the sun and computer. from affecting my skin even more. Prior to this sunscreen, I would just go outside for even 5 min with hat protection and my spots would go darker. With this sunscreen they don’t, I still wear a hat and try to avoid the sun but now I feel my skin is actually protected. Worth clarifying, it doesn’t make Melasma go away but it helps not making the issue worse. It makes my skin a bit shiny which I’m not crazy about since I have oily skin but it doesn’t clog pores either, so that’s good. Leaves a whiteish film on your face for a few minutes. All in all, the best sunblock I’ve tried.
