SOLEIL TAN DE CHANEL Bronzing Makeup Base

I'm in my late 50s with very youthful but dry skin and freckles. I also have some hyper pigmentation on my cheeks. Every time I try to do any contouring, it just looks muddy and dirty. I've tried a few powder bronzers and the truth is: dry skin, aging skin texture and powdered bronzer just don't seem to work together! I know I'm never going to have an intentional tan on my face again - the sun just makes more freckles and heightens my discoloration, and I've had one basal cell removed from my lower eyelid already. So, I just broke down and ordered the product, knowing that if I didn't like it, couldn't get it to work right, Or just felt that it wasn't a good value for the money, I could return it. Well, it is not going back! I'm so happy to have found something like this, that I can add to my make up ritual - when I want to, as little or as much as I like. first impression: it is lovely! Soft, easy to blend, easy to thin out or build up. I had forgotten how much I love to have that little touch of sun on my face and I honestly thought I would never be able to have it again safely. It might sound silly and so shallow, but good makeup and skin care are the some of the lovely things that, as I age, make such a difference and delight me.

I've been using this product since before it was part of the permanent collection. I'm a makeup artist, and obviously am exposed to hundreds of new products, formulas, colors ect. - and this product immediately jumps out in my kit as a standby. It's also one of the few makeup products I genuinely use up and have to re-purchase (I use it on almost every model, MALES INCLUDED, and a tub of this still manages to last me well over a year). Great on all skin types and tones and can be used in such a variety of ways - HIGHLY recommended - Try the Tom Ford 'Cheek Brush' #02 with this product, they're the perfect combo!

I have never used a creme bronzing product before and let me say....WOW! I am loving it! I use it to warm up my forehead, temples and the sides of my face and the look is amazing...very natural, very understated. I use a dense buffing brush by IT Cosmetics and the look is flawless. I was afraid it would be too warm toned but it's a very natural, sun kissed look. It is also very flattering on my 50+ skin! Yay, Chanel!

Gorgeous color, it is a creamy matte base perfect for most skin colors. Start with a light hand and built the color as needed. It's easier to add color than to take it away if you put on too much. It's expensive, for me at least, but you use so little each time I can see that this container will last a long, long time. I will definitely repurchase this item.

I'm hesitant to buy this at first because, it's a cream and this will be my first ever cream bronzer. Because of a lot of good reviews, I gave in. The color is perfect for my NC25-30 color. It smells good (as all chanel products do). It blends perfectly but had a hard time searching for a perfect brush to use with this. But my search is over. Sephora's Pro bronzer Brush #48 (not the one on the picture) is the perfect for this. This will be my all year round bronzer :) Love it so much. I get all excited when I use this.

I finally decided to splurge on this after running out of my most recent bronzer and continuing to hear amazing things about this product. When I was in SF I asked the lady at the counter if it was really worth it, and she (of course) told me yes. I agreed to get it and she says " Ok. let me make sure I have it." At that point I'm watching her search through drawer after drawer, my heart sinking. Usually when they're searching like that it means they're out. At that point I knew I had to have it. Finally, she pulls one out! "This is literally my last one" she explains. "We can barely keep it in stock." She rang me up and I excitedly put it in my bag, ready to go back to my hotel and try it out for the night's festivities. Boy did it not disappoint. This is the most natural and flattering bronzer I've ever tried, and believe me I've tried a lot. It gives a strong yet natural contour (which is what I use my bronzers for) and I love that there is zero shimmer, which I despise. It also gives this flawless soft, smooth look- like you have perfect skin... It blends SO well. And oh is it a beautiful container. Let's face it, Chanel has beautiful packaging but I just get so excited to pull this out when it's contouring time. I'm an esthetician so I've already recommended this to many clients and friends. Pricey of course but worth it, especially with the amount of product. I feel like it will last me forever. Just buy it already. You'll thank me later.
