Maggy and Ettienne
Recently I found an old tube of a favorite chanel lipstick. I swatched it on my hand and then swatched several other high-end lipsticks next to it in an effort to find a close color match. When I was finished, I used makeup remover to clean all the swatches off my hand and to my amazement all of the other lipsticks were completely removed, yet the chanel lipstick left a visible stain on my hand. This to me is the power of chanel lipsticks. They not only color your lips, but they also stain your lips resulting in long wear and even fading (as opposed to the lipsticks that leave a ring of color around your lip line as they fade). These particular lipsticks are wonderful. They are luminous, light weight and last for hours. I am a MAC NW20 for reference. Maggy is a plum color and Ettienne is a wine color.

Messy and does not stay on
The lipstick is very messy, does not stay on very long and is too sheer. I bought 444 Gabrielle and I have purchased other shades in the past but each time I was disappointed, it does not look as good as in the advertisements. I absolutely love Chanel but I continue to be disappointed with their lipsticks. I do not recommend because the price does not match the quality.

Matte yet hydrating!
Chanel's Rouge Coco Antoinette lip color is an almost identical shade to another lipstick in my collection: Dior's 'Belle de Nuit' - which is a touch less costly than Chanel's but on the flip side - not anywhere near as hydrating as it. I love the fact that this is such a light creamy lipstick which doesn't tug and isn't drying, goes on smooth and lasts 4-5 hours on me, before requiring a touch-up. It's actually mildly hydrating if anything (due to the 3 plant oils/waxes in here). Yes there is a very fine touch of subtle gold shimmer here which I wasn't aware of before purchasing/didn't notice in the online images, but I really don't mind as it isn't dramatic or obvious. The lipstick shade itself is a gorgeous rusty copper red which I usually wear around fall. Using a lip scrub is a good idea before applying this one, and I usually do, but I've not had to use a lip balm so far, as I tend to do before applying a matte lipstick. A splurge for me yes but definitely worth it! -> My ‘Nordstrom Beauty Top 7 must-have list’ (thought it might be useful to share my 7 favorite beauty products of all time, focusing mainly on my purchases at Nordstrom) <- < 1. Hair Loss Treatment: Divine Herbal Hair Oil < 2. Concealer: ‘Mac’ - Studio Finish Concealer < 3. Lip Gloss: Clarins Lip Comfort Oil < 4. Mascara: ‘Lancome’ – Cilis Booster XL < 5. Anti-Aging Serum: Divine Herbal Facial Treatment Serum < 6. Mask: ‘Eve Lom’ – Radiance Transforming Mask < 7. Face Scrub: ‘Sisley' - Botanical Gentle Buffing Cream

Welcome Addition
I bought the new RC formulation in Edith which on my naturally rosey lips is a "my lips but better" shade. I've always liked the color range of the Rouge Coco lipsticks but never found them particularly moisturizing. This new formulation; however, has remedied that. Although Edith does not begin to approach the creaminess of Guerlain's Rouge G or Clé de Peau's Extra Silky, it is definitely smoother than the old RC formula and it does moisturize the lips which makes them temporarily plumper and smoother. As for the new color lineup of colors, RC comes in beautiful shades in all the basic color groups so there is sure to be something for everyone. All considered, the new RC is a welcome addition to the Chanel lipstick collection. Now that I have experienced Edith, I'll be back for some more new shades.

I'm happy this shade is permanent...for now. This is the perfect red for those unable to commit to the traditional blue based red as this shade has a coral/orange undertone to it without being super loud and gaudy. I can get away with wearing this with just mascara and still look polished and professional. Absolutely love this shade and formula....which by the way feels lighter than your typical lipstick formula and fades evenly as well. Definitely do not pass this shade up if looking for a red lippie or even those who are hardcore collectors of the shade.

Gorgeous nude
This lipstick is gorgeous!! I'm a fair skinned redhead and finding a good nude lipstick has been difficult for me. I used the Chanel beige lip liner with the rouge lipstick in Adrienne and I'm obsessed! The formula is creamy and comfortable to wear as well. My new favorite lipstick!!

Lovely soft pink. A little color that looks natural and brightens my face. Very comfortable, moisturizing and long lasting.
