Fragrance story: The eau de parfum is a fresh, woody chypre scent that still retains its understated elegance. Refined and timeless, a fresh, citrusy burst of lavender and Sicilian lemon reveal a deep heart with the spicy notes of nutmeg. A woody trail of vetiver is enhanced with a touch of vanilla from Madagascar.

Jacques Polge's Final Masterpiece
Before retiring, Jacques Polge created his final work for Chanel, Pour Monsieur Eau de Parfum. This is very much a gentleman's perfume, is friendly and cheerful with hours of creamy, woody richness in the likeness of oakmoss and sandalwood, accented with a lightly powdered lavender, vetiver, and citrus.
Longevity is 8 to 12 hours and projection is closer to the skin than the previous Eau de Toilette Concentree version, making this a much more up close and personal fragrance. Wearing this fragrance at the office, for romantic encounters or formal use in cooler weather is suggested.
Highly recommended.

Didnt smell well and long last per se..
Chanel esp Bleu De Chanel is the worst. This puts you on the top of what Chanel can offer for Men. Its classic, just not long lasting enough

Love this fragrance!
This fragrance is amazing! It's perfect for the winter, and also pretty darn good for the summer. It's very classic, it's really the Men's Chanel No. 5. I'd recommend it more to a stranger rather than to a friend,(I wouldnt want them to smell like me). I really like it better than the blue de Chanel and the allure homme. Overall an awesome fragrance, compliments are given often. Hope you enjoy!

Elegant Chanel
This latest offering for men from the House of Chanel should be part of every sophisticated gentleman's grooming regime, it is sublime. This intoxicating composition opens with a sultry lavender and Sicilian lemon, is warmed with vanilla and nutmeg and dries down to a woody vetiver. Long lasting and extremely versatile. Suitable for any season or setting whether it is a casual outing, the office or a formal occasion. It is elegant masculinity in a bottle, and will always garner a compliment.

Good As Ever!
I have been wearing Chanel pour Monsieur for several years now and this " eau de Parfum " version smells identical to the long bottle Green " eau de Toilette " version but doesn't last as long and you have to keep reapplying it after about 3 hours.
Other than that the edP and edT smell exactly alike, and they leave the Concentree version in the dust! My favorite fragrance and I absolutely LOVE all the compliments I get from it, it is my most-complimented fragrance and everybody always asks where they can buy a bottle.
I hope Chanel never reformulates it and definitely never stops making it cos it is a REAL winner and a gem among so many fragrances out there, both great and mediocre.

Very classy, a nice mix of lavender, vanilla, and vetiver, I don't detect too much lemon but once awhile I will get a whiff that reminds me of cloves.
If you appreciate old school, this one will do ya
I get a very tasteful projection of 3 feet for 4 hours then settles down close to skin for another 4 hours
