Channel No. 5
I received Channel No. 5 for my 16th birthday from my Godmother. I loved it then and at age 70 still love it. I have had many people ask me "What are you wearing?" for all these years. A lot of men loved it and made introductions. I know it could be a line, but only happened with Channel. I, of course, am known for the scent to friends and family. I hear they are changing it. I hope the old No. 5 will continue to be available. But, maybe I will like the new one, too. Who knows. Thank you for listening.

Not the same anymore.
Sadly the things I've heard about the reformulations are true. It just isn't the same Chanel No. 5 anymore. It now has a bitter/sour smell to it now and the longevity is very poor. I don't know what Chanel has done but it was a mistake! Returned!

Much has changed in my life time
Channel #5 has been a constant in my life. First, to be old enough to wear it ( I was 11 when my love of it began) and later to make enough to purchase it and still pay the rent in my 20s. From my 30s to 60s I was able to have it all, to layer of course. Then life changed and I was unable to buy Chanel anymore but my desire for it never changed. I dreamed of the day I could walk into Nordstrom and walk out with it. Now, at 71 that day finally came! I didn't walk in to purchased i bought it online. When it came, it was not the same. Nothing about it was the same.
I researched and found out for many reasons it had been changed. My heart is broken. This change is in no way your fault, but I can't give you a good review on my purchase.

Not The Same!
Sigh. What a disappointment! This cologne used to last for several hours. Now, it's like spraying water on my skin. What happened?????

There's a reason it's a classic
I can't wear fragrance. I get stuffy, scents change on me, they're too intense or too light - a fragrance disaster. And I've always been envious of all those who wear fragrance and smell wonderful. I have finally found my fragrance. I tried the EDT for a few days before purchasing, and it's perfect. It does not smell like any individual flower, it's lasting but not too strong, it doesn't make me feel stuffy or give me a headache, and for hours I can smell the soft, pretty, powdery scent. The top notes are stronger and sharper, but after a short time it becomes a lighter, soft, perfect fragrance. The spray bottle is also great, because it sprays just a little, and in a narrow range, so I don't feel like I'm wasting it.

Sacrilege! No More Orignal No.5
What happened? Why the new lighter sent? I've worn No.5 for over 50 years! I'm so disappointed. If you need a new sent, create one, with a new name! Leave the original as it was. I've made this my signature fragrance all my adult life! Why? So very sad this happened.
