LES BEIGES HEALTHY GLOW Sheer Color Stick Blush

Getting older (recently turned 50), knew that cream products are generally better for older skin. Decided to try the cream blush. The CHANEL SA suggested #22 sheer stick. I was skeptical. I can't wear any peach/coral at all as I'm fair skinned, blue eyed and dark haired. But somehow, this blush looks so much more natural than any of my tawny rose and pink blushes ever have. Granted, I can't wear it on my lips, but it sure looks fresh, wakes up my face and is easy to apply with fingers. To apply, swipe finger across stick, dab fingers onto apple of cheeks, then blend with finger outward in all directions and a little up and along the cheekbone. Another positive is that you don't have to worry about it breaking while traveling as you do with powder blushes. Makes me look younger. Highly recommend.

I bought the two pink shades (21 and 23) and like both. They are pretty similar in color but different, too, if that makes any sense. 21 is a warm peachy-pink and 23 is a mid-toned rosy pink with a subtle golden shimmer (not sparkly at all). They have a sort of dry-touch texture, are not greasy at all and leave a sort of velvety finish. They are easy to work with: just one swipe across the cheek and blend out using either fingers or a brush. Both give a very natural flush of color. And, I was pleasantly surprised at how long the color lasted on my cheeks. I found them to be quite buildable, too, if you don’t get enough color the first time around. I use the sheer sticks during the day and for added drama in the evening, I will layer with a powder blush. FYI – they are fragrant. I tend to be uber sensitive to scented make-up but I didn’t find the smell to be overpowering. I would definitely repurchase.

No 20 is simply the best. I can see this working for practically every skin tone. For fair to light skin it’ll probably be more of a sculpting blush if applied lightly. For me, it is totally a subtle sculpt blush. The packaging is solid and luxurious. I tried the other colors but never reach for them. No 20 just has this perfect balance of colors. It’s not cool nor warm. I also enjoy applying this product with a brush. I literally just take a brush and go onto the product and stipple onto my cheeks. Please Chanel, do not change this formula or ever discontinue no 20. Also there is a ton of product so I don’t see this running out anytime soon.

My skin is geting drier with age and I decided to visit the cosmetic department for some advice. This was recommended over the powdered bronzer and blush I have been using. I love it. It goes on so smooth and this color is perfect for some nice subtle color. As always the assistance was helpful and professional.
